I have heard that flying pets can keep up witha swoop, but have not tried one myself.

lol mantigrues can't keep up with a mount let alone a swoop.
Peko Pekos could probably keep up with a swoop but they are no longer tameable.
Gurreks are the fastest. They can keep up with a landspeeder (on flat ground). You have to pause every now and then to let them catch up with a swoop.

I'm not sure how fast they are when acting as a pet, but I have seen Reptillian Flyers on Dathomir keep up with my swoop bike as I was trying to chase it down to tame it. It only managed it when it went into some kind of burst run that it could do, but man oh man, that was the fastest and hardest (outside of difficulty level failures and aggro) tame I have ever done.

Lantern Birds, Reptilian Flyers, they all keep up with my swoop. I think all creatures using the same bones as those will keep up.

My two BE'ed Narglatches keep up nicely with my Swoop. Sometimes I have to pause a bit over really flat terrain, but not much.

Peko Peko's are tamable, I tamed one just last week. (Not a giant, mind you.)
And it will keep up with an X34 Landspeeder, but not with a Swoop, unless you press the Shift key to make it go slow speed.

The cats can keep up for several hundred meters without having to pause. I have never had a creature keep up with my bike for a long distance. Birds or Cats. I have had a million try though and I just have a speeder.

cat types can keep up pretty well with my speederbike (the babies tend to run a little slower though), I just have to pause occasionally to let it catch up, not as much with most pets though.

My GSP and Ancient Dath Flyer keep up fine. All cats keep up pretty well. I switched to the speederbike though just to be sure they kept up.
