Big news to me anyway
I left Keren and headed West towards the swamps. Normally on my trips there I find Gungans and Imperials, plus the odd Kaadu. Today I struck lucky.
I slowly patrolled the swamps watching my scanner for the telltale sign, a single red dot. Nothing appeared for nigh on 20 minutes, then there it was! A single red dot, not 50 metres away. I turn my bike round and spot a solotary Swamp Stalker. Maybe this time I will get a baby.
I mask scent, walk towards the beast, not daring to breath. I drink some brandy, some other action enchancer and ran in. The battle was not fast and we both fought hard, eventually the beast dropped and I stood victorious over the body of this magestic beast.
I sat, healed myself and waited. Another adult popped up. Again I managed to kill it and went back to camping the area. 2 more adults and no baby. I was annoyed, but heck this is ment to be rare right?
I jumped back on my speeder and headed off slowly. I was jumped by 10 Gungans and had to make flight, but they soon stopped and I sneaked back into the swamp. I slowly but surely worked my way around the area and there, to my right I see it. Another Swamp Stalker!
I check my brandy etc buffs and decide it's worth the go. I get off my bike, mask my scent and head in. It doesn't see me and I strike the first blow, down it goes, I warcry and it sticks. The cat fails to get up again for a good 15 seconds and I have a free reign. Another dead cat.
I wait, another adult spawns. Again I wade in, kill it and camp the area.
Then it happens, a yellow dot appears 2 foot from me! My heart leaps, I turn and there it is, 'Swamp Stalker (Baby). I don my creature taming hat (+25 Vicious) and start the tame. Here's me and the cat meeting for the first time
First attempt, failed. I mutter, maybe this time. I ask my guild mates to cross their collective fingers and try again. Usual 'Don't bite me' ensues, then 'You Have Tamed the Creature!'. I couldn't believe my eyes!!!
I petted my new charge and it let out a extremely loud roar. I sat, took a deep breath and stored my new baby. I then took him back to our guild's Cantina to show him off!

Congratulations!
Just one question from a noob... what is so great about Swamp Stalkers? My biggest pet is a Greater Sludge Panther (lvl 25, 8k HAM) and I'm wondering the stats of an adult Swamp Stalker... maybe it's worthy due to some specials...
Can you please teach me a bit about this and other nice pets to have? Thank you

Thnx for the link. Nice info there.... anyway I knew that site. I was asking more about personal experiences and/or opinions about Swamp Stalkers and his rivals at 30-35 lvl.

it just takes more than 10 min to get one opposed to a sludge panter.they are harder to find..sludge panthers are VERY easy to find..many of the "rares" don't have great stats, i collect them for the thrill of the hunt

Congratulations on taming your swamp stalker!
I live in the forest E of Keren, and I've seen exactly one swamp stalker baby. Made sure that I found a CH who could tame it before I left the area (I'm still severely gimped ... no datapad space ... from the hologrind period).
