Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my exiting widow story. As i know you all love these kinds of adventure. It all started out with my friend who wanted to start his fencing carreer. Hes also my personal drug dealer. For some odd reason alot of the natural rares i find in the wild seem to appear when hes around, maybe its the sweet smell of the muon hehe. So i decided we can kill on endor at the Research op and we can hunt widows if we spot any.

Now a little side note. Ive been hanging around Mos Eisley lately trying to help out newbies and entertaining the crowds with a new show i like to call Kitten of Death. It takes place infront of the cantina and basicaly any new challenger (newbies of course) gets paid 2000 cred to fight my cute little Jax. Thing is I take Snow hunting rancors, hes Lev56 12k ham 60% kenetic 80+the rest and does 550 of dmg with strong poison and strong deseases lol People love it, and it makes a Master CH proud. So we make new friends and enjoy the old times we used to spend id Tat.

So off we go to endor with a new admirer and novice pikeman who wanted to explore the dangerous wildness with us. We take a couple roba mission nothing to fency for my novice fencer and new wookie piker. On our way what do we spot. a nice Earthen mound with 2 widows and a Queen. After indicating to our new wookie friend the dangers of this hunt i tell him DO NOT attck any baby that might pop out. After months of this rare bs im kinda edgy about things like this.

I take out my rancor Rage as backup and we start pounding the widows and queens. After the first 2 waves we needed a break to heal. We all know this kind of nest spawn automaticaly so pop a widow . Our wookie thought he could just charge in runing and plow the widow like we just had done but we were chatting incamp. I tell luke "Oh crap": and send Rage after the widow and we race to save his butt. Unfortunately the widow bashed in his brains out before we could save him. And yes it was not a pretty sight, Well low and behold his fur covered corpes mustve triggered something withing the nest. For the first time since December, in 31 lairs i saw my first arachne widow (baby) I spit out my coke on the floor! Told the guys to stay THE HELL back in grp chat and slaped on my BE cloths + 25 taming +25 mask scent. Un equip my pike, told rage to go back in the datapad and starting walking to the baby.

As i start the taming process more widows and queens starting poping out, as if to protect the baby. i was so nervous , the real thrill of ch was coming back. Steady, good, girl.... Widows baby was stiking like glue to the troops. Fail, tame,.. tame,.. Wookie newbie starts running toward me screaming his brains " Ill save you Lara!!!| **edit** the whole nest starts going crazy, This suicidale maniac comes in running trying to "save me" I got detected, the queens made short work of my savior, Luke my pusher was laughing his ass off and baby started agrroing me like crazy.

Burst run the heck outta there...1 queen and 2 widows and baby in tow dodging blurgs, and and crazy gurreck trying to run like this and not going in a direction of more agros on endor is not fun! fiew baby calms dow and the whole gang of spiders just stares me down...Im full of poison , with Only my BE cloths on i wont last long if they agro, Start taming again blam! queen stings my butt again area poisons ! nooooooo. run away again... I tried , i tried again guys but baby in in traditional SOE fation despawned as i was trying to tame it for the 4 time! Why cant they fix this despawning crap is beyond me, thats how i lost my Merek Death Head too, i call it the curse of endor.

Well after politely telling the wooki that if we ever find more hes gonna have to listen a little more and note to self, dont help newbies to much that dont listen good. Figures id see a baby widow with a new guy around to screw it up. I was soo disapointed i decided to stay solo on endor a couple hours more telling goodnight to the guys after it got too late. I told luke whos been on these kinds of hunts since 2003 with me id look around more, that perhaps the server was gonna be luky tonit. Well after killing off 2 more Widow mounds with the help of my loyal Super BE razor cat Lightning. I found another widow nest with a squad of imp troopers to help me out They always like protecting me. So off we go me pounding 2 queens with Lightning slashing behind and 10 imp NPC troopers firing what seems like so many weak shots. Wait, Wait. hey what that over there......widow baby!!! holy boogers 2 in one night!! all alone no agros around Thank you Jesus. well this time it was a perfect tame! first try ! No agros, no NPCS , no ppl to screw it up!

Well now with the luck im having this week ill try to complete the rares, i gotta try for my bull again. After all its the last animal i need to complete the collection of collections This week i was fortunate enough to adopt an extinct Merek harvester Queen named Medusa , i decided to try and go and get a swamp stalker from naboo and got 1 i got weird and decided to try for a Kinad Biz Natch even thought i hate buzz natchs , and i got a Kinad baby and now i finaly got my widow! almost had 2 dammit lol So i gotta try my luck at the Bull Rancor once and for all, at 304 lairs i gotta see one soon!

congrats on your accomplishments. You make it sound so exciting, and I feel like i'm there while you are taming them. I was only planning on dabbling in ch - enough to get up to lvl 40'ish, but now you make me want to get master...ugh...have to drop more skill points. Thank you for your story, and please continue to post more and make the game exciting again for us all.

To repeat what someone else said in a different thread about the excitement of taming a rare and being excited about it....

I remember the first one i tamed and is still one of my favorite pets. The story you wrote about it is even better and the part about the kima is classic because I also have one of those with identical stats. Its one of my favorite pvp pets.

I have yet to lose a rare pet whether in a group and this story shows that if you do group with these make sure everyone is clear of what to do if a rare baby spawns. I have seen someone on Radiant lose a Bull Rancor baby because of group misunderstanding and all I could do was comfort her when it was all over.
