Do you like Creature Handler because you get to look after a pet, that otherwise you couldn't have in real life? Do you like Creature Handler because you love animals in general?

I love cats in real life and have a common or garden Moggy called Suki. She was a rescue cat from the RSPCA in the UK and I've had her nearly 8 years. I have 5 cat pets in game, all of them I love to bits. Don't know why, they're only a collection of data, but I have an affinity with them.

Here's Suki, posing, last Summer in the back yard. She's the most affectionate animal I've ever known. She'll run about in a morning, jump on and off the bed, howling and nutting my face. She sits next to the PC watching me, and being nosey.

I had a beautiful Rough Collie dog called Blake for over 13 years, and before him JJ and Sooty, sadly Blake had to be put down on Tuesday and I miss him so much.

Im very fond of my in game pets, one of the most fun things in SWG, but it's not quite the same thing as the love you get from a real life pet. But they have probably kept me sane the last couple of days, giving me something to do to take my mind off things.

I got a cat for christmas . she likes to....scratch things alot......and considers my lap her personal resting spot. Good thing I have movies to watch while my cat sleeps lol.

I keepreal petsand more and more come all the time -I think the word got out that we are the animal lovers in the neighborhood.

We started with 5 (2 mine, 3 my partners) dogs and2 (none mine , 1 indoor1 outside)cats. We now have 1 extra dog inside and 3 more outside cats. We havespayed2 of the walkups so far and are working on getting the 2 that are left. We have found homes for 2 other dogs that have wandered into the yard and one other cat.

Plus that's where i get the name for my pets - i just use one of the names from one of the dogs or cats - i try to match the personality of one of mine with the in game pet.

Anyone want a cat?

yep i'm a real pet person as well.

Currently limited to a 23pound hairball of a Himalayan mix, and a large Salt Water Reef tank.

I had at one point, 1 min pin, 1 tea cup chihuahua, 1 abyssinian, 1 russian blue, 1 cockatiel, 1 ball python, 2 dwarf syberian hamsters, 2 ferrets, 1 african prayingmantis,and 3 fishtanks(2 salt 1 freash) all at the same time!

Which explaines why im still a Ch since beta, i'm a glutton for punishment lol.

The reason why I am a Creature Handler is because in every MMORPG if their is a pet class, that's what I end up playing. It started back in EQ with my first character being a Mage. I had messed him up and then started a Druid. Once Beastlords came into existance I moved to one of those and never looked back. I guess, what I love IRL is what I do in game because it's familiar to me. I was a Vet Tech for a little bit, but couldn't handle putting animals to sleep everyday, or owners who couldn't decide what to do while their pets wasted away. After that I became an EMT and am in school now to become a Paramedic. So as you can see, my basis for being a CH and Novice Medic is what I do IRL... LoL!

Lets see, we have 6 dogs, there's Buddha who is a Mini-Poodle, Bear who is a Lab Mix, Lobo who is a Siberian Husky, Scruffy who is some sort of Terrier Mix, Paris and Chinook who are brother and sister as well as being Beagle mixes and looking nothing alike. We also have two DSH cats, their names are Ivan and Furby, 2 Ball pythons, a Dumerils Boa, a Columbian Red-Tail Boa, an Iguana, a Leopard Gecko, and a very special Gerbil Pup. The Gerbil pup we received last week with 4 of it's siblings at about 12-15 days old and motherless. They came from a neighbor down the street that knoes we have all sorts of animals and thought we would be best to take care of them. Their mom was killed by the owners cat New Year's Eve night. We tried to keep them all alive, but sadly we lost 4 of them and the one we have now is going very strong. As a matter of fact, last night we noticed one of his little eyes was starting to open last night. Lobo is a S.P.C.A. adoption, Bear was a private adoption as was Paris, Chinook and Scruffy. We also have 2 farmers' dogs that come around almost everyday to get some pats from us. Oh wait... I forgot about my son's Gerbil, so we have 2 Gerbils.

ihave a pair of green tree pythons..tried to breed them earlier this year, but the female absorbed the follicles (eggs)..mabey next year

1 Russian Blue male named sebastion, I belive him to be one the world most self centered cats and I have no doubts that the day i die the only thing to go trhough his mind is , Well this is just great Whos gonna feed me and supply me with catnip mice.
