How do I become a trainer? Can I train for more than one profession?

to train people you invite them into your group, and a "teach" option will show up on the menu. you can train people in whatever skill you've already achieved. (besides novice skills)

You can be a trainer in any profession you learn skills in. The only skills you can not train others in are the Novice skills. If you hear someone asking to be trained in a skill you have just group with that person (get an invite if they are already in a group, invite them if they aren't in a group), target that person, and select Teach from the radial menu. The pop-up box will show a list of all the skills you can teach that person. Select the skill you want to teach, click the OK button (or whatever verbiage it uses), and wait for them to accept or denythe training offer. You get Apprentice XP for any skill you teach except languages.

Hope this helps.

I believe you have two questions there.

1) How do you train people? Everyone is a potential trainer. you do not have the (xxx Trainer) title above your head but you can teach any skill you have ecept the novice skills. You cannot teach Novice Scout but you can teach Exploration I. As long as you know a skill you can teach it to someone. As stated above, you must first invite them into your group, bring up the radial menu on them and select the Teach option. If you have a skill that they are eligable to learn, it will show up in a selection box.

2) Can I train in more than one profession? Yes, I started out as a Novice Scout but immediatly learned Novice Marksman and Novice Entertainer. My primary character is a Master Scout, Novice Ranger, Novice Creature Handler, and Novice Brawler, and Novice Teras Kasi Artist.

Hiya!

I'm on Sunrunner and I'm ready to train for my first Tailor skill tree...who can help me out?

I've already got novice tailor and have gotten the XP necessary to train on a first level skill box...but have been unable to locate a trainer.

I'm on Tatooine in Mos Espa but am more than willing to travel.

I also need apprenticeship xp. I only have 50 and need 620 (I think?)...so if anyone needs training this is what I have:

Artisan: Domestic Arts (1-4), Engineering (1), Survey (1-4)

Entertainer: Dancing (1), Entertainment Healing (1)

Marksman: Expert Pistol (and below), Intermediate (and advanced) Ranged Weapon Support Abilities

Scout: Hunting (1-2), Exploration (1)

If anyone can help me out or let me help them out by training, please send me an in-game email or reply here to this thread. I've been sitting at this level for a while now and want to get trained (and also train others).

Thanks guys,
-Karrina

In general, I think this sort of question is better asked on the forum specific to your galaxy. I'd be happy to help you out, as I'm sure a lot of people would, but most of us aren't on Sunrunner....

I did post this on the Sunrunner thread with no luck...even "bumped" it to the top to get a response...not even one reply. <sigh> At this point I'm willing to pay for the training, because I'm afraid to keep grinding for xp only to max out eventually and waste my time.

Thanks for the clue about the Bestine one. Here's hoping it's a tailor trainer and not an artisan trainer...I spend thousands of credits to go to a planet (via another one because no one-way tickets to the one I was going to) to find a tailor trainer one person spoke of in another thread..only to find it's an artisan trainer! <Argh!>

Going to Bestine later anyhow to get a Deed from the bazaar I just bought today...so I'll check it out.

Thanks guys!

try searching for tailors in your area (or travel around and search), and send a polite tell to tailor you see asking if they offer training. i get my training from a few master tailors that i ran across, and i tip them 1k-1.5k for their troubles you can save some money this way. best of luck!

Hey I know this has probably already been asked but I want to train up enough to use my pets I bought one is level 21 and the other is level 26. My question is what tree should I go up first to get to being able to at least pull out my level 21 pet and then what tree do I continue on to use my level 26 pet? Any Suggestions would be nice.

Thanks in advance all

For some of the boxes, you must complete the missions assigned to you. In beta, after you completed a few missions, the trainer gave you one free box, and did not take away any xp. He would then start training you when you got enough xp.

So, complete the missions he gives you.

If he is only giving you duty missions (missions that you are given a choice of escort, patrol, etc) then you must wait to get trained until you get the required xp.

If he gives you specific missions, he may give you one free box after you complete all his missions.
