Greetings, all. It's been my distinct pleasure and honour to serve asCreature Handler Correspondentthese many long months, but I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from the position.
This has nothing to do with how I feel about the Combat Upgrade or the direction of the game. It has everything to do with the fact that the pace of development and discussion has now passed the thresholdat which I can realistically keep up with it. Changes are happening really fast, and there are now too many discussions for me to follow. I always said I'd retire if I felt no longer able to fulfill my role. So it's time to pass on the mantle of correspondent to someone with a freshoutlook and (hopefully) more time to dedicate to the task during this critical juncture.
It's truly been a pleasure to participate in this community, and to be the last original correspondent chosen by Q-3PO at the founding of the program. My thanks to the Devs, my fellow correspondents (past and present),and especially to the community for everything they've done to make this a wild rollercoaster ride.
I intend to stay on as a participant in the community to the extent I can, and am looking forward to riding around the galaxy on my soon-to-be trusty varactyl mount, Varaxon. I'll do what I can to help ease the transition for my successor, and especially to smooth out the initial release of Combat Upgrade for us.

Sorry to see you go Vert, but I'm amazed you made it this far. Congrats on seeing it through as long as you could.
For all the naysayers, I hope you submit your name to be his successor and then see if you can do anything you said he was supposed to do

It is sad to see you go vert. It has been fun reading all your trusty post. I am glad that you were able to stay calm in all those horrid times us CH had. Well anyway have fun continueing this crazy game and let the force be with you. errr yeah

Vert, it's been a good ride. You've taken the flak with the best of them. It was a pleasure to talk shop with you here and on the Alpha boards, I wish you all the best.
For what it's worth, I'm tossing my name in the hat when they post the correspondent position. I think I have thick enough skin.

Have a happy retirement Vert. I know we haven't always seen eye to eye through all of the changes, but I hope I was able to give you the respect you deserved through my posts.

Thanks, Vert. Ya done real good. You've put up with a lot of crap and managed to conduct yourself with grace and style.
And any of you who really want this correspondent job need electro-shock therapy (kidding Ko-aIri!)

Now now, Aakh as every right to speak his mind. I for one will agree, some what. I've disagreed with some of the "paths" taken by Vert, but I also have agreed with a few as well. You can't please all of the people all of the time.
Take care Vert, can't say it's all been good, but it hasn't all be bad either.

Happy trails, Vert. CH has definitely gone through ups and downs in the last two years. No doubt about that.
Only Yoda knows what battles you have won and lost and can't tell us about because of SOE/LA's corporate CYA mentality.
