Creature Handler Archive

Hey folks,

I officially took over as Creature Handler Correspondent on May 6, 2005. According to the correspondent term limits, that means November 6 is the end of my 6-month term, and I believe they intend to continue to enforce that limit.

I feel that the profession improved dramatically over the last several months. Over the course of my term, I feel we've seen many positive changes to the profession, including a complete revamp (that I feel was/will be a significant improvement in the long run), a myriad of bug fixes, and the ability to tame CL 80 pets which we'll be seeing very soon, among other things.

Obviously there's still a lot of work to be done and a lot of issues left to be dealt with, but I'm very pleased with the direction the profession has taken and I have no regrets if indeed the end of my time is approaching.

Correspondents do have the ability to re-apply for the position at the end of their first term, and I am weighing that idea. I still have the passion to see the profession improve, even though with family commitments and a couple moves I haven't had as much of an in-game and on-forum presence in the past month or so as I would like to have had.

If you folks would like me to continue to represent the profession, please let me know so I can factor that in to my decision. Also, please let me know if you'd rather see me step aside and not re-apply, I welcome all constructive comments.

I hope I've met your expectations as a correspondent, and I'm proud to have been able to serve you folks in any way I could have. Thanks for being such a great community, and we'll see what the future holds!

I had a feeling I would be seeing this soon. have seen alot of cor's being replaced. I guess they have kept to the term limits, although I don't agree with them.

Ko I remember the day all this started lol. If i remember correctly I was one of the first to toss your name around for the job. I can say with pride you did well. A cor's job is kinda rotten but you were and still are an even keeled type of guy "If that makes sense lol". Its what we all need sometimes alittle levelling off in temperment lol.

Just wondering if you are leaving, ah can I have your stuff lol. j/k not even on the same server wtoo bad might have been nice to hunt with ya, who knows maybe someday.

By the way, I'm definitely not leaving the game... I'm really looking forward to the new expansion and I even got my wife to start playing again after a year or so off. So no, you can't have my stuff. Hah hah

Ill be honest I ve done ch a long time but dont think I would ever want to be a cor even if there are decent perks to it I think youve done a great job and hope you re-apply

If you feel like you can put up with the job for another 6 months by all means apply again;I just hope you don't get burnt out ,or tired of being ignored on issues important to this community.Don't know what benifits are gained by being a correspondant but it should include a free subscription and free exspansion.And for all the information you have to keep up with they should cut you a check each month.

Re-apply. You've been a good source of information and you've always done so with a level head. I doubt many of us would have done this as well as you have. I know I wouldn't.

I hope you continue to do the great job you've been doing up to this point.
