I did some testing and found that the formula for creature damage has changed again sohere is the new one. Feel free to test it to be sure I'm right.

DAMAGE = ((TOHIT/750)+((CL-TL)/30))*(MAX-MIN) + ((MAX+MIN)/2)

DAMAGE = damage before armor

TOHIT= you pets to hit stat

CL = Your pets CL

TL = Your Targets CL

MAX = Your pets max damage

MIN = Your pets min damage

Is that a nerf? Wouldn't surprise me if they gave us more damage with Marring Storm and nerfed it back to where it was.

and I have to say I noticed a difference just this evening when testing my newly trained up lvl 69 bio.....he was hitting for 300 damage every second vs. a target 3 lvls higher than him ungrouped.... this just wasent the case about a week ago when I last tested him....good catch joker

Yes this is a pleasant surprise but I wouldnt also be surprised if everyones damage isnt going up in the game Medic is god now so unless you can do alot of damage you can rarely put a healer on the ropes example forceing to spend the cooldown timers healing.

/bump it up......

as a former BE pet crafter this new formula seems to point to a new direction for pet stats on BE's....

max damage isn't the cure all for DPS if the TO HIT mod has to dive into the floor to achive it.....

IMO a 450 max damage pet with its to hit in the 150+ range seems to work very well in this formula once trained marring storm... all the 499 max'ed deeds Ive seen dont top 60'ish to hit mods as as a result lose out on alot of damage as well as missing alot more often.....I'll be testing this once I can afford a 499 max damage pet on bria, they run 1 million here....

Bump this to inform the masses once more.....new thread with testing data.....

and my earlier post was wrong, to hit is lvl dependent and even if a deeded bio says a to hit of 1 on a lvl 70 once called twice the stat will reset to its lvl of 167...FYI

Quick question. this formula does follow the rule of operations? P.E.M.D.A.S

Example

1+2*3 = 7 Not 9

not following the rule of operations will end of giving you this 1+2 = 3 then multiy that by 3 thus giving you 9

Did you notice the double brackets in there?

((1+2)*3) is indeed 9

you added those double brackets. my example was used simplyto explain what i meant by order of operations. sorry if ididnt make that clear.

I am not the brightest one when it comes to math so can someone tell me if i used this formula correctly? (im just going to toss in numbers)

((TOHIT/750)+((CL-TL)/30))*(MAX-MIN) + ((MAX+MIN)/2)

((100/750)+((10-12)/30))*(150-50) + ((150+50)/2)

((0.142)+((-2)/30))*(100) + ((200)/2)

0.142 +-0.06 *100 + 100

0.142 + -6 + 100

94.142 that right?

*edit* forgot to multiply -0.06 by 100 and fixed a typo
