I dont know it it's happening to anyone else, but for me, the last 4 days, my /tellpet command has not been working, so I have had to use the normal commands for my pets. Many people always tell me that I can use the /tellpet command when i'm around them, like I dont know. haha. All the people who I play with also checked my commands, and said everything should work. Is there something that I still might be doing wrong? or am I just bugged.?

Its not you, that happens to me from time to time. Mine went out on Endor for a few hours on Sunday. We were just out there playing around and guild/group/private and my /tellpet all stopped working.

I get those "tips" too from other players sometimes I really wish there was a way you actually see what you were saying to your pets and toggle it off and on like the existing features should you need to cut down on the chat spam. Like /tellpet lets go instead of showing nothing would say something like you tell your pet(s) lets go or something so you can always know wether or not the commands are going through.

/tellpet works sporadically, esp. with the follow command. Figure it would go flaky for the most important command. It seems it does not cross the same invisible boundaries that stop our pets for no good reason.

My /tellpet stop working for a few days, but *only* for the "Kill" command. I changed it to "Attack" and it worked fine, and then back to "Kill" and.... nothing. Go figure.

If you don't mind macros for some of your commands but you want to see what tellpet command you are spitting out:

/tellpet attack; /echo Sick 'em Muffy!

Would issue "attack" to the pet and display to only you "Sick 'em Muffy!"

If you want some color (I want it to stand out), modify the echo:

/echo \#ff0000Sick 'em Muffy!\#ffffff;

Using "\#" followed by six hexidecimal numbers gives you colors in Red, Green, and Blue (2 digits per color). I end the command with the color white and a semi-colon for ease of modification later. The backslash hides the seven characters after it, so you might type out #aabbcc before adding the slash for ease of editing.

I sent a CSR ticket some time ago about this and they said that they disabled it because it wasn't really working. So if its working for you guys, it must be a bug because it has never really worked for me anyway.

Hmm.. I'm using /tellpet all the time. Works for me. Tried this today (16 sept), so the csr lied to you.

mine works ok.

will have to look into that echo thing. sending a /tell to myself is annoying because i get the message twice (you tell self attack. self tells you attack.).

For some reason my /tellpet command was going out on a few specific commands, especially the stay command.

ok, in an effort to stop all the moaning greeting faced babies on Dant complaining about my CH

in spatial saying .... a and a1 and a2 and a3 .... even though my creatures are the ones getting

most state effects on the MOBS..... I am researching using the tellpet command !

Could someone sort my problem out.

I have trained all my pets with basic a=attack a1=special1 a2=special2 f=follow etc etc

I have also named my pets, however after naming them returned the commands to normal.

I have tried the /tellpet a, and /tellpet f to NO AVAIL !

However for some wonderful reason /tellpet a1 /tellpet a2 & /tellpet a3 & /tellpet t1 & t2 work fine !

This is incredibly confusing for me and I know there must be a simple explanation.

Also I had noticed that a standard SPATIAL TELL does not work as efectively as a SPATIAL YELL !

Plenty of times some of my pets appear deaf, or just ignore me until I /yell the command, then they respond instantly. Is this true ??? and if so, does tellpet command work no matter what the distance ?

Please solve my problem so all the wanabee Jedi Grinders on Dant, with no more wanabee Jedi Courtesy

in them than my Merek Death Head, will stop crying about my spatial commands. Their tears are causing my PC to Lag out.

Thanks in advance

well... i use "attack" and "heel" and they work fine, im thinking that one letter commands may not work for /tellpet. Its worth a try to epand the length of the command to maybe "att" or "fol" ... give her a shot.

Aye. One letter commands do not work with /tellpet. /tellpet requires that the command be at least 2 letters long, and, in some case 3. Use the /tellpet command when you are training your pet, and you will know what works. If it does not acknowledge it when you are trying to train it using /tellpet, it will not acknowledge it ever.

Also, /yell has a larger area of affect the just the normal say. /yell is also a negative command for a pet, somewhat like /scold or /bad.
