It's been a little while since I've tested thiswith my screecher - there are posts out there still where people have placed some nice write ups on testing this (you'll have to search em out).

From recent memory though, the disease I've seen tick for between 150-275. Don't know the exact range/formula for it though (haven't tested it that much).

What I do remember being a big help is my swordsman creature handler char bashing a Kimo's mind with a guildie in charge of my screecher (using befriend). My lovely screecher was in over it's head so I had to /taunt to get the kimo onto me - but it did hit the Kimo with the disease (on mind). Did about 3.7k wounds by the time the kimo's mind was nearly at an end.

It's Plague Strike as well btw and as far as I recall - it's an AOE attack.

I've been fighting screechers for 2 weeks, while looking for a baby.

Whenever i was hit by a plague strike, i had to immediatly meditate the disease away (ofcrouse after killing the critter), as it was a matter of a minute, and I had 500 wounds.....been wounded up to 999 (think that's the limit)....

There for it was important to never fight more then one screecher at once .... when fighting 2 or more, you don't get a chance to get rid off the disease, and you get messed up pretty badly.

For usgin a screecher yourself, i don't really know. I only used it once on a durni, to see it fight. I'm to scared to use it, as it took me a lot of time to find one

The limit for us being diseased is whatever our health/action/mind bar is as you say - e.g. 999 if your health is say 1000. When buffed, I've noticed that the bull rancors that invariably disease during a bull baby search do only up to the limit of my HAM bars (whichever they attack) - this in PVE.

What I don't know though is whether the diseased up to the limit of your HAM bars by your pet applies to PVP as well. I would imagine so - but I can't say for sure.

As for my screecher doing 3.7k of mind wounds, naturally - it wasn't all done in one attack from the screecher. It hit the mind bar more than once of course. (just in case you're wondering).

The Screecher disease packs a punch

From pvp experience with jedi can hit any stat going from 100- 600 per tick and lasts up to 8 minutes.

The Bull Rancor can hit any stat up to 100- 999 per tick and can also last up to 8 minutes.I cant wait to test the 2nd Bull RancorI recently tamed with Jedi.

Would also like to note that the plague strike is an area disease attack

The screecher disease attack is one of the most devastating in the game. Up there with the bull rancor.

Not to be underestimated, to be avoided if you can, to be treated as soon as possible after being infected.

during my search for my baby MS, I was constantly ticking for at the most for 300 each time they got me.... I don't use mine too often to fight but when I do they are sight to behold as they glide away to attack something.

So, would this disease be good for pvp if the screecher got a disease in before it was incapped?

Figured since most pets are dead in under 10 seconds against a usual pvp guy I could use a pet that keeps hitting after it goes down.

And, it ticks every 20-30 seconds, and wounds bad, so it might be decent I guesse.

MIght have to test it myself after I can actually use the thing.

The special attack is good but in PVP it is not going to be much help because of the way specials are applied. They will take the HAM bar down to only 1 point but this figured is based on non-buffed figures. If my mind is 600 unbuffed it would go do 599 damage and stop because it does not incap. If I buff the mind to 2000 it would still go do 599 damage and stop leaving me with 1501 HAM. It is this way to prevent cloning with negative HAM and wounds causing you to just clone forever.

Last time I tested this on someone was a while ago but my mantigrue screacher did 350/tic on a fella who was brave enough to try it out. Too bad it's random on which stat it goes after, but someone with a mind disease, is pretty much FUBAR'd in PVP.

I had one hit my mind pool back during the "Ring of Death" days on Endor, and I was very close to dead very quickly. Darn good thing we had a dancer out there with us who could bring my mind back, because it was black all the way down to the left end.
