Maybe they should make it that after you fire your weapon, you can't unequip it for 60 seconds as well.

Maybe they could have it autostore for them, then they won't have to wait the full 60 seconds. Randomly, and often in combat, of course.

Simply put, the Devs do not know their ass from a hole in the ground. Likely they could not find their own bums with a road map, flashlight, and a swift kick to the arse.
I know this because we surely have kicked them in the ass many times.

In several of the many threads about the 5 sec weapon delay I made a point of the fact that they only had to wait 5 sec *even in combat* whereas we had 15 sec or not at all if in combat. I didn't bother to note that in cities we get 0 sec but they still get 5 sec

I also posted a detailed description of why our pets *ARE* our weapons and armor by comparing the combat displays of 2 chars. One a pistoleer the other a MCH. In the displays it is obvious that our pets are our weapons and armor and not any of the other things people claim they are. In short form with my will alone I set my pets in motion and cause DPS as a CH. With my will alone I set my pistol in motion causing DPS. It is worth noting that as a MCH I can wield 5 weapons this way. 3 pets, 1 droid, 1 pistol, all of them independantly targetable too
. Just wait till pistoleer gets dual wield

. As for armor my pets take the hits that would have been directed at me and unlike the best armor they are 100% effective at absorbing the damage
How much damage they take determines how long before they go from 100% effective to 0% and it is a switch event
Hope the above points help when people try and tell us that our pets are not our weapons and armor.

Yeah I have quit. LOL. The problem is, as I stated back in January, that the only thing keeping me in SWG was comraderie. Until my accounts are all dead, I feel as though I have to post what I can to do my part for those here. Unfortunately, I did not catch all the accounts prior to their renewal. This, however, is fortunate for you. I can still interact with those I will miss for some short time.
BTW. Some retard deleted my post saying I can be found on the Freedom Server of COH, as Planet X or Mr. Zodiac. Cannot wait to try out Lineage II this weekend as well. If anyone has a character on there let me know and I will start on your server.

The answer to your question is simple: Because pulling a rancor out of your pants is a much more delicate process than pulling a pistol out of your pants.

As Indene points out (and I'll repeat some of those points),our pets are very unique weapons. They may not be very effective weapons at the moment, but we still have somereal advantages that other combat professions do not. True, because CH is soineffective compared to other combat professions, we need any advantage we can get just to be playable. BUT. If combat rebalance truly does make CH once again viable in combat, these advantages will not just become huge, they might become unfair.
We are the only profession that can use 2 different types of weapons at the same time, i.e. our pets and any other weapon we like. (I exclude droids as an advantage since anyone can use them). And if we are using 2-3 pets, then we effectively are using 3-4 weapons at the same time. Further, if we sochoose, we can stay out of combat range and still be able to use our pets as weapons.
We can call our pets instantly in cities or in a camp. Or inside buildings that are vendors. With a little planning, that gives us a lot of places we can instantly call our pets. I'm not saying that there might not be many times where we have to wait the 15 seconds (or longer), just that there will also be many times that we don't.
Our weapons really never decay. All my pets (21 of them) still have 94+ percent vitality - including my beloved grand wrix that I've had sinceOctober (?). At worst, we can easily tame a new "weapon". Or buy one made by a BE.
Our pets do act like our armor in a very real sense. When I PvE, I never buff - unless I'm going to one of those insane places like the genosian lab. Damage that would normally go to a player of any other profession instead goes to my pet. If I'm careful, Iwon't take any damage that can't be quicklyhealed by using stims -even when fighting NPCs that shoot back. But even if I am incapped, my weapons will keep fighting if already engaged in combat (or if guard command works). Even if I'm killed,my weapons will keep fighting. Don't think you can say that about any otherweapon.
So, why the difference between a 15 second delay for pets and 5 seconds for weapons/armor? A few differences, IMHO. Yes, our "weapons" have bugs that no other weapon in the game have (autostore the biggest), but those are just bugs that can and will be fixed. Would I like to always be able to instantly call my pets? Absolutely! But I understand why I can't and, strictly personal opinion, it isn't even a good idea.

Actually, the devs claim there is an exploit out there that none of us have ever been able to discover; and believe me, I looked everywhere, because I wanted to see if there was any backing for it. First they said that it was an exploit, then they said it was an INTERNAL exploit, so basically they're feeding us crap.

Come on, the 15 sec. delay is the least ofour problems, it is meaningless. We all know it was put in for droides and speeders not for us, so comparing pulling a pet to pulling a weapon like most things never crossed the swg devps minds.
Oh an we are not the only class with more then 1 weapon, combat medics use poison and then pull a gun and while the poison is incapping you over and over and over they just keep shooting you.
Soon pistoleers will hold 2 guns, they will be able to do 2 type of dmg at the same time.
With the skill pts we put into MCH we are alsonot able to have both Melee and range DMG midigation lv 3. so we need a meat shield.
The fact is in PvE we are eqaul to many other builds, we are not over powered because we can use a pet and a gun.
The fact is in PvP anyone that puts all there pts into combat classes and not MCH will kill us.
If they would just fix the bugs I would be happy.

I am sorry if this was posted before I was just posting in a blind rage
Anyway,I wasn't exactly complaining about the delay itself, just why creatures were are so evil and exploitable to get 15 seconds each when weapons only get 5. I don't see what we can do that the extra ten seconds can cure. And the only exploit I can think of is fixed by us not being able to store our pets after/during combat. Calling them during combat or before combat does not equal an exploit, as lots of people I know used to hide their weopons before combat (Now it doesn't matter as much because of the badge system that everyone abuses).
Well, add this rant to the long list of ignored issues
