Thread: CH USES WAY TO FEW SKILLPOINTS!!!!!
I like my well rounded character.
And despite the fact that they are useless due to buffs, hopefully the CR will once again make medics useful and diseried in groups. What would happen to them under your plan?

Under my plan medic wouldnt even exist as a profession. You would have docs and CM's. Basically what you would be doing would be taking all the novice skills/skill modsand moving them into the elite classes. For instance TK would have all the Skills/skill mods that you would get from master brawler moved into the TK skill tree but TK would also take 250 SP to master. And BH would have all the novice skills/skill mods from scout and marksman moved into its skill tree. Now you can no longer be a TKM/MR and swap between rifles and VK's and get the master benifits from both classes. You could still do 1/2 TKM and 1/2 MR but you would only shoot rifles half as well as a master rifleman or fight half as well as a master TK.
Also the skill mods would be distributed like the CL is distributed inthe CH skill tree. You would no loger have skill trees likea "defense" tree that you can pick up and get 80% of the defense mods from that class with a minimal SP investment because they would be distributed throughout all the trees.
Other special classes like politican, SL, and ranger would be treated like crafters.
Under this system dabbleing is highly discouraged. And im pretty sure most of the CH's here will agree with me on this point. Dabblers are a big reason we got Nerfed.

To me that sounds like a boring and uniform playstyle. What diferentiates one tk master from the next, absolutely nothing. They would all be cookie cutter clones of eachother.
I could agree with an elite profession taking 250 skill points to master if it was as diverseas say jedi. If all the elite professions had multiple ways you could create unique and diverse templates within them the way you can with jedi then it might be fun.

Good point. So the question is how do you propose we add variety?

Takes the casual forum lurker such as myself all of half a second to click the 1 radio button and move on. Ought not flatter yourself thinking someone is losing sleep just to one star your posts. To prove how easy it is, one star me. Are you gonna lose sleep over it? =D
I had someone do a search of all my posts and 1 star all 2000+ posts (I kid you not)
Just shows you how the board rateing polices can easily be abused despite what the mods claim.
