I don't know if one of these threads has ever been done but, what in your mind is a creature handler going from books and movies?
Mine is JeanFrançois de Morangias, the brother, from The Brotherhood of the Wolf. If you're under 18 you probably can't rent it to watch, for those of you who have seen it you'll understand when I say, I really need a Beast.
How about the rest of you?

James Herriot! He was an MCH during a time when an MCH had to deal with slightly primitive forms of transportation (landspeeder vs a swoop or BARC) and he thrived in that environment. It was a brilliant move when he picked up a couple trees in the author profession to earn a bit of extra cash since an MCH didn't make much money back then. He crafted quite a few wonderful tales about what life was like for an early MCH. Quite inspiring, really.

I can't remember the family name but there is a man and his wife that raised a grizzly, the one that stared in the movie The Bear and also Doc Dolittle. That bear unfortunatly has passed away, but the family managed to get yet another grizzly to train for movies and now they have rescued two orphaned grizzly cubs too. The father has even passed his tallent onto his daughter. A family of CH's to be sure. Just wish I could remember the name.

Kountess Krack. Mission Earth Decology by LL Ron Hubbard.
Noted act in book 1; Ordered the re-growth of surgically removed claws for a great cat under her tutelage after whipping the morons who delivered the cat to her in that condition.

^^^^You said it! She could tame ANYTHING!
My second choice would be Han Solo. How many people do you know that have tame a wookiee?

How can I overlook The Crock Hunter, though he is more like a cazy noob trainer than a handler.

The Beastmaster!!!!
Had the hawk and the 2 squirrels. Could talk to creatures including those flying bat people who whooped up the villains at the end of the first movie.
