Thread: A PvP CH Success
My question is do the specials work now? as I have had huge problems getting my pets to use their specials, I was under the impression that they were not currently working so I had given up trying to use them.

The twit got pwned and immediately went into the nerf mode. What a maroon!
It really helps if the target is an idiot. I've seen this happen.

From what I've been reading it seems that if you order them to use their special to open the attack then it will work. After that it's iffy at best.
As a almost non PVP person because CH really wasn't suited to it, I basically stayed away because, people ignore my pet and head straight for me. Now I am novice commando and that can be a mistake as well. But here is a story about my first 4 PVP kills.
In Valor, Kauri server, stopped by to pick up some merchandise when some Imperials from MONEY came barking into the city. Now there are 8 or 10 of them and 1 of me, covert. So I stand around and watch for a while. Out comes the Rebs and they get killed fairly quickly. Then a friend comes by and we have a little chat, I bring out my BE pet, we form a group the three of us. I put my cat on follow and guard on my friend and I stand back a ways to watch what happens.
The Imperials immediately attack him and my cat goes into action, now three things happen, we all get TEF, good, they incap him in a few moments, and the imperials can't seem to figure out why the cat is still attacking them and killing them. They start running like crazy, one runs by me and I hose him with the flame thrower and DB him. One gets incapped by the cat and their doctor heals him, the cat incaps him again, doc heals him again, cat incaps him the third time, 2 down. Doctor is scratching head when cat attacks him, he starts to run and I kill him, 3 down. Imp 4 is diseased and losing 200 pts. a tic when he is close to dead cat incaps him and I DB him. For a wookie that was a good day. MTKA kills me from behind but cat gets him, I clone in valor cloning center step out of cloning center and blow MTKA away and that folks made it 5 to 1 for me and the cat.
But it is important to realize, I wasn't buffed, I have a strong second combat skill, and the cat was associated with my friend and not me. So if you are travelling in a PVP group with more than one MCH just have your pets guarding other people and following them. It is like they suddenly have another weapon and a meat shield. It was fun and I continue to learn more and more about PVE and PVP everyday.

Ive been CH from the beginning and allthough i have complimented it with other professions i have never been able to drop MCH. Im glad you mentioned not dropping the class (because of nerfs) It is truly a love of the profession that keeps us doing it, as opposed to hologrinders.
Just reading these boards and learning new things (use pet to follow you enemy, then when he attacks you use pets ranged attacks / use pets to follow / guard teammate ect) keeps it fun
