Thread: You can't tame that bug is still around!

Well, I would have hoped that the DEVs would have fixed this bug BEFORE they made it so all CHs had to go out and tame every friggin' baby out there so they can learn "specials" but NOOOOOOOOO ... it's back (or never left?)! I was out taming everything I could (up to level 70) and now I just tried to tame a Giant Worrt (Baby) and got the dreaded "You can't tame that" ... and now, everything I try and tame causes that message to be displayed! CRAP! Oh well, it was time to log off and take a break anyway

This sometimes happens to where the /tame is on a timer somehow. So if you keep spamming /tame I have had results where the timer ended and I was able to tame even though it kept saying I couldnt. I suggest to try and let timer cool down and try some more.

Ya' ... I killed the rest of the Worrts around the lair and the baby I could not tame ... then tapped the lair and kept killing the adults. Another baby spawned but I still got the "You can't tame that"! I've logged off but when I get back on, if I still have the problem I will try spamming the "/tame" and see if that works. Thanks for the suggestions.

If those things you tried don't fix it, you need to log out for around 20 minutes to completely unload your character from the server.

its definatly soemtnig to do with server boundreis and/or a timer fomr what ive experienced, quickeest fix is often log out log in a tono on a different server wait 5 mins and siwthc back (seems to make you unload ofmr th eother server faser if you log in elsewhere (nb ive no absolute confirmation for this sjut peronsal experiecne that coudl be copincidental)

I experienced this bug a few times since Publish 21. In some cases there were babies spawned from mission (named)lairs (although this is no longer supposed to happen) and in others I received the you cannot tame this message from wild lairs or static spawns. Funnily enough on one lair that had 2 babies showing, I tamed one baby and was told thatI could not tame the other baby.

As always /bug 'ged in game.

Hey guys,

I'm not having the buggy kind of taming problem, but are Taming Viscious BE tissues mandatory now for level 50+ ? ? Even for MCH.

I've failed like 15 times on a (baby) mature reptillian flyer (CL69). Wondering if its impossible without the tissues or if Im just having bad luck.

It is possible, but very hard without the tissues. Even with them it can be painful now.

Here's the hilarious thing about this.

I logged out completely (didn't wait 20 minutes) and could not tame a falumpaset (baby) I came across. But, when I headed back to home, I came across a fambaa (baby) and had no problem taming it.

This has to do with crossing server boundaries, I'm convinced of that. It's another form of a bug that has been around since launch that did things like cause people to become invisible, cause armor stats to shift, and, of course, cause pets to poof backto the datapad.

I don't know if it's impossible.

But I do know this.

Anything vicious level 50 or above, I have both the taming hat (+25 taming,/+25 vicious)on AND I eat some almond-kwevvu munchies before I attempt the tame.

And those two measures by no means guarantee success. Taming has become a lot more dicey since pub 21.

I strongly advise that you ALSO carry some good (+90 minimum reuse, ignore the action stat) parawan nutricake for burst running away from crit fail tame aggro babies and the angry family members.

Got my +25/+25 Sunguard. Now Im shopping for some Almond Crunch'a'Munch. Then I will try again.

As far as aggro goes tho...

I don't find taming even half as fun since the CU. I am CL80 and the max level we can tame is 70, so the level mitigation alone makes it no problem when I get aggro.. In fact, now I just ride right up on my bike now vs. crawling in prone position from 60 meters out, with several MS checks, praying for no aggro like I did pre-CU.

Maybe I should take up Bio-Engineering again for some DNA sampling..that was practically an extreme sport IMO.

The bug is still around but there is a solution to it. I created the following tame macro and I eventually beat the system.

Name: Tame

/tame

/macro tame

If you are not in combat, eventually the tame will tick.
