Ok I just started ch got 1/1/1/1 so far and about half way to my next skill. I was wonder what is a good profession to go with ch? I really don't want a combat profession cause they are all the same just with a different title and the same weapon as all the other masters of it. I don't want scout because traps are horrible to get exp in and I hate squad leader so I don't want that either. So anything but those two and please anything but a combat profession if anyone knows of one please tell me. Thanks in advance.

A lot of people (and me) go MCH/MBE.

Just makes sense seeing as they rely on each other so much (Pets, Stimsand Vit Packs).

I recomend Medic, or Doctor. Then, if your pets get incap, then you'll be able to heal them, and get them back up and goin!

A CH really needs to have a primary combat profession to go with their pets. The pets are ok to keep the creatures away, but very slow to kill and have lots of health points to be healed after the battle. It is best to kill quickly using another combat skill.

Thanks I was already thinking medic or docter cause if I am out solo that would really help. I would be a BE but I got a friend who is one and gives me his best pets if I need them. If there are any other ideas please tell me.

Was posting while Galaxus was posting and I don't know how to edit my own post yet. I don't want a combat profession mainly cause I find them boring. I am like alot of people an old everquest person so the hack and slash thing really bores me. I tried to be a brawler first hated it then marksman was fun cause I got to shoot things but that got old real fast. I like ch cause I can bring out a pet of any level and still have it kill things for me. I will always have a weapon handy in case of adds till I get management 3 and master but till then I am fine I got a group of friends who can defeat anything I have faced with me barely getting any hits or shots off so atleast my pet will get more exp. I might just go medic and get a combat profession for when my pets are still real low but not sure yet. But please keep the professions coming.

Combat Medic would work too. Heal your pets from far away and poison and disease the mobs..

I dont get it. You want to be an MCH without any other combat professions? Good luck with that. When I dropped my combat professions to grind holos, I was scared to leave my house because of the spineflaps outside.

And explain to me how masters of other professions can use the same weapons I can.

Yep, doctor seems your best bet. If you don't want to help your pet fight, then you will have to heal them of much damage.

I'd recommend at least one fighting line of marksman or brawler to the top, if not starting in on the novice of the related elite profession. Because you need to deal the damage to the prey that your pets cannot.

I'd recommend medic 2/0/4/0 at a minimum. This gives you first aid to stop bleeding, and the ability to use stim-Cs out of the box without being crafted with reduced ease of use.

Doc is mostly for buffs and rezzes. CM is mostly for ranged damage healing and for poisons/diseases. Ranged damage healing is quite useful for a CH...you can stand back from the scrum and keep your pet stimmed up. Otherwise you have to be in close, and this might switch aggro to you. So be cautious.

I would do combat medic except that I would need 25 more points to master it and I hate having half a profession enless I hate it or it is a requirement for another profession. I travel in groups most of the time and if I don't then I am usually just looking for babies and not fights so the combat part of being a ch I can leave to my pets and be fine. Sounds like to me that I need to go into doctor so I can buff my pets and heal them of anything. Thanks for all the help.

I'm a MCH with Master Ranger and Novice Pistoleer. I can track babies, harvest, and get by pretty well with my pistols. Yes I'd like to be able to do more but right now, it suits me fine. I might drop a couple of Ranger Skill boxes to advance more in pistoleer.

started with MCH ,master carabineer, that worked well , when buffed with a decent laser carbine could solo anyhting could get off the terminal, switched to Master Swordsman, that worked real well. used the pet to hold adds for me while killed things off, holo 2 is master rifleman, just started on it but it seems viablle if not stim heavy, I've always had medic 4/3/4/0 to use stim d's can get close to 1800 on the high end, they are cheaper and easier to find in my experience

I have the MBE on another account, like haveing 4/2/4/4 ranger for the tough samples
