Thread: Profession to go along with CH
A lot of people (and me) go MCH/MBE.
Just makes sense seeing as they rely on each other so much (Pets, Stimsand Vit Packs).
I'd recommend at least one fighting line of marksman or brawler to the top, if not starting in on the novice of the related elite profession. Because you need to deal the damage to the prey that your pets cannot.
I'd recommend medic 2/0/4/0 at a minimum. This gives you first aid to stop bleeding, and the ability to use stim-Cs out of the box without being crafted with reduced ease of use.
Doc is mostly for buffs and rezzes. CM is mostly for ranged damage healing and for poisons/diseases. Ranged damage healing is quite useful for a CH...you can stand back from the scrum and keep your pet stimmed up. Otherwise you have to be in close, and this might switch aggro to you. So be cautious.
I'm a MCH with Master Ranger and Novice Pistoleer. I can track babies, harvest, and get by pretty well with my pistols. Yes I'd like to be able to do more but right now, it suits me fine. I might drop a couple of Ranger Skill boxes to advance more in pistoleer.
