Ok guys I have recently picked up CH and I am 0111 in the skill

My question is what pet should I be using right now?

And my other question is what should I raise all the way first? I was thinking Creature management to get the Additional pet mod, So what do you guys think for my two questions?

Also my max level pet mod is 18 just so you know, does that mean I can have a max of level 28?

No your max level is currently 18, at this level your best bet is to get a good BE pet, well that is your best option at any level of CH in the current situation. If you want to go out and find a pet for yourself, which I personally find to be one of the major attractions of CH check out www.swgcreatures.com if you are serious about mastering CH it will be your best friend.

I personally don't think being able to pull out two pets is all that useful, I'd suggest going up the taming tree first to make taming easier. Don't overlook bio clothes with mods to taming, not that expensive (I suppose depends on which server though) and very useful.

Good luck to you and have fun.

Yeah, the +18 thing is horribly misleading. It should really just say +8, since you can already do level 10, and you only gain 2 levels at Novice, to give you a max pet level of 12.

I personally suggest that you get management up to at least 3 so you can get the two pets, since you get extra exp for using 2 lower level pets. If you're going that route, consider the BE pets, so they won't be too weak, then when your max level gets high enough, use whatever you want.

Otherwise, go for Taming, so that you can tame vicious creatures. Once you can tame vicious, you more than double the different types of pets you can tame!

What is the quickest way to master CH?

I've been stalled at 0013 for some time, and I'm looking for a way to make it go faster...and help would be greatly appreciated!

A good, quick way would be to get Sharnaff hunting groups on Corellia, then use a low level pet while everyone beats on them. Just make sure your pet is alive before the 'naff dies.

This is exactly how I did it way back when. Though now with all the buffs and such, you could get away with doing enraged rancors in a small group, worth quite a bit more.

Aye, almost twice as much. You just have to be careful abouta fewthings:

1) if you're buffing your pet for this, make sure that you do it just before you attack, since storing kills the buff

2) again - make sure your pet stays alive.

3) make sure that YOU stay alive.

It can actually be easy to keep the pet alive if you send it in early and let it die, then heal it before the rancor goes down. As for keeping yourself alive, just be careful, and hope that you've got a decent group. If your pet goes down while you're dead and trying to get back, odds are that noone else will heal it just so that you can get your exp.

Alternately, you can wait until the rancor is almost dead, THEN send in the pet, but sometimes it's hard to judge if the pet can get in a hit before the rancor goes down.

Depending on your second proffession, I still suggest 'naff's over ER's, simply because it's safer, and a bit easier to actually get the exp.

yes you do! If I use 2 lvl 20's instead of 1 lvl 40 I am going to get about 25-50% more xp than with 1 lvl40

Lets say you get 1000xp with a lvl 40
well with 2 20's you will get between 650-800xp for each which comes to 1300-1600xp and last I checked
1300-1600>1000

I think what he means is you will get the same xp using one of those level 20 pets as you do using both.

Then you might as well use both, so that you make sure 1 survives. That way you're guaranteed the full amount of exp, and you're doing more damage overall to kill faster.
