Hiyas Ouzet, and welcome to the fold.

Here is howI did my training...

1st I felt I needed more pet storage as your low level pets tend to take a beating. Having more in the data pad helped me out alot, since I could just call another pet instead of spending money on stims. I trained 2 boxes in training to start.

Next I went 2 boxes into taming to get to vicous creatures. Think its 2 boxes. dont have it in front of me. This will help you train "agressive" creatures.

After that I went full into Pack managment. Mastered that tree so I could have out mutiple pets and get mutiple xp.

Empathy I did not train at all till I had mastered the other three. Tricks and the few commands you get with it are not very important early on. Hell not very important now except for the + to level of pets you can control.

Hope that help ya some. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Glad to help a new CH on the road to Master

I went 2 boxes into taming and training to get me some cool pets in the wild, then went all the way up to mount pets because of the 2 pets out at once deal and the ability to use mounts of course . i felt so cool when i was kiting correlian butterflies with my pistol....of course i quickly realized it wasn't that much extra speed, but it was still fun.

The answer used to be get to management III as fast as possible, to have two pets out and double the XP.

But that was of course nerfed, and there is no advantage to having two pets out now from an XP accumulation view.

So I'd recommend Training I, mainly because increasing your stored pets is very important. Most CHs develop attachments to some of their tames, and even after they're no longer part of your regular combat stable, you still like to have them around. So more space is good.

Taming II gets you the ability to tame vicious creatures, like kreetles and rancors. Important skill to have as you move up, because some of the most fun creatures out there are vicious.

Here's a hint: get yourself a giant carrion spat, have it trained as a mount. When it gets to its full size as a mount (CL 12) go out and find a meatlump spawn outside a Corellian city. You and your spat can bop these all day, barely take damage, and get 70 CH XP per lump. As you loot them, they respawn, offering a nearly continuous flow of CH XP. Not as fast as enraged rancors, but then again you can do this yourself with no buffs for 2 hours and earn thousands of credits, pick up loot, and walk away with 30k or so CH XP, easy, and with minimal danger to yourself and your pet.

1st i got the entire bottom line as either the skill mods or the commands are pretty much essential when your grinding CH, i will admit to getting training 1 first tho as it lets you store two more pets. after that i worked up taming and training at the same time, once i had lvl 4 of both of those i went all the way up management and then finally empathy (aside from trick 1 i dont really find anything in that line worth the effort).

i also started out with a few wrix cos they seem damn tough for their creature level and went on lots of rancor hunts with my guildies to get the ch xp (you actually needed your entire guild to hunt rancs in those days tho lol)
i always left at least one spot open to tame/train/rrelase random critters that i came across, just for quick and easy xp. anotheridea is to visit www.swgcreatures.com and find out which pets your able to tame once you level and what pets you'll be able to tame in a weeks time, then getting other CH's to tame them for you so that theyre ready to go when you level up. good luck!

Here was my method that I have used, btw am now raising MCH #2 on Flurry server with my other MCH on Valcyn. First if able to use rifles grind rifle xp to master, while doing that work some CH xp. My prefered path is to get all 1/1/1/1 so that you have some extra storage and some creature lvls, then I go 1/2/1/1 then 2/2/1/1 then 2/3/1/1 and so on till 4/4/1/1 then I finish the last tree tree then tree #3.

Btw, I have Master Carbines on Valcyn and Master Rifleman on Flurry and I can say for a fact, MR rocks for grinding CH. I can wipe out a lair of pickets in under 5 minutes with MR but takes about twice as long with MC. I do nothing but speed PUPs in my rifle and mindshot 3, will drop any picket or graul in under 30 secs with little or no dmg to my lvl 22 pet. My pet is only 15% KR so not to shabby.

Also Strafe shot 2 rocks but u have to be switching your pet to attack all the differetn mobs before they drop, which is quick. My favorite area is in the NW corner of the Dant map as thats where lots of Grauls are, and they give great xps. On an average buff I can get over 60k of CH xp, sometimes if lucky over 80k.

Another method that does work is the geno caves if someome there will let you just use your creature and have them guard their tank. Just be sure to watch you pets health closely, you can get 900xp plus per mob doing this but is very boring and feels like cheating when I do it

Hope this information has helped you out.

I would have expected it to be much faster.

I am a Master Bounty Hunter and I can drop any Picket in under 30 secs with any weapon. If I use the LLC I can drop 1 or more in about 15 seconds.

Hehe problem with Carbines I've noticed is my speed at MC is 60, on MR its 90, and the headshot I do does about 1 shot per 2 secs for 1500 to 3500 dmg. So with BH I'm thinking you might have a faster speed, haven't checked the BH template in a long time. If I had a carbines speed of 90 or a 100 it would def help, maybe even get close to even with MR dps. Thats another thing they need to fix IMO, if your a master in any weapon you should be at 100 speed, then only above that with tapes. But that's another topic for the respective forums. LOL

I am new to CH.. been working it for 2 days now. But I just got 1-1-1-3 (the three was most important so far for me). I think someone said that they nerfed the exp for 2 pets.. but as of last night I was getting exp for both pets. Maybe that was a bug.

I am lucky enough to have access to multiple accounts .. so I just had the CH account friend the pets to my main master swordsman account. This way the master swordsman could tell the pets what to attack. Then after each pet hits the picket or mokk or whatever.. then the swordsman drops the creature really fast and the CH account gets credit for both pets. I was getting around 250 for my cowardly gurrek and 350 for my roba per kill. I plan to attack it pretty hard again tonight because that was really fast for me.

And if anyone cares, my CH account is working rifles so I have them on a follow and assist macro on the swordsman so they attack the same creatures and get rifle exp. If you have 2 accounts or more I hope this will be helpful to you.

Get Tame and Train up to level 2 and then work up the line that gives you 2 pets at once. After that just grab whatever skills you want in any order.
