Thread: The New List of Rare Creatures of SWG
Wild Dune Boar has a whopping 8k of HAM which is why he is now the top pig on the list. Creatures like the Mire Marauder, the Merek Hierarchy, and the Bull Rancor should be still very difficult to find and tame. Am concerned about the Bull Rancor and wonder if they made it far easier to tame then before would in my oppinion would greatly devalue it but its appearance and coolness factor make it still one of the best pets to have.Message Edited by enigma_writer on 05-01-2005 09:04 PM

First lair I visited tonight Arachne Queen baby, that right after a hilltop gurreck.
I hope they didn't take away the rares.
Can you tell us the location of the lair? What non-player city was it closest to and what region?
I've wanted an arachne queen baby FOREVER.... Matter of fact I signed the petition to have them brought into the game as a rare!
Hmm, I still haven't found a creature I couldn't find a baby of in less than 2 hours (haven't tried the Bull Rancor yet, and statics are bugged so no babies yet). Seems like the rare hunting aspect is out the window pretty much and replaced by a "yes I can find you one of those but it will take me 2 hours, it will cost you 15k... - oh btw, do you want to hear about the godd old days where I had to hunt for 4 months to find this one?. no?, ok...." 
Seems like the people that wanted the rare system out won.
What remains now is to figure out if this is all intended or is a CURB conversion bug. At least 3 planets are unaffected by this new all creatures (well almost all) tamable thing, suggesting something is wrong. Maybe we should stock up on interesting pets now and hold our breath?
you can add the stoneskin handock as well it had a battle rating of 60 and when examined it did say tamable ( I know wiether it is or not is another story )
also have seen a archane hatchling baby and the adult had a battle level of 79 and a difficulty level of 54 I think
Had one of those insane lvl82 bol lairs.
the baby was lvl10 after tame

I wonder if these are easier to find because they got sick of us saying that they were not spawning pre-CU
Frenzied Graul- Not only easy to find but was really weaked by nerf
What I fear is that no babies, at present, are rare or hard to find. Further, it looks like many pets have been "genericed" to have lost their uniqueness. An arachne warrior - level 63, a webmaster 63, a widow 63, a queen 65....
I still get no information when I examine a mob, no tamable yes/no, no armor, nothing...just health.
