I was running through the creature liston SWGcreatures and I saw "Giant Crystal Snake". I remember seeing one of these in Anchorhead......eons ago. Some player was using it in PvP......very sneaky indeed...lol. The creature's name was "You-Cant-See-Me".....as I recall.
I haven't seen one since. Hmm? Yavin 4? Never been there.....never really had a reason I guess....lol. I thought maybe I would find one of these Giant Crystal Snakes and tame it...just as a novelty...since I can't BE snakes and such.
Anyway, I got buffed and off I went to Yavin 4. Opened up the POI list and decided to visit the temple of Exar Kun?...yeah...got the badge...didn't run any quests....ho-hum.
On the way back, I ran into a lair of the Giant Crystal Snakes....no babies. I whipped out the pet and started grinding a little....received massive amounts of poison....situation normal for Bio-Engineers...lol. Popped the lair a couple of times and got a Baby. Tamed him and in the datapad he went.
I alsotamed a little Kliknik Defender baby as well. Klikniks everywhere on Yavin.....man. There were so many babies on this planet I couldn't count. I didn't see a soul on Yavin 4. It felt like I was the only one on the whole planet. I think I may go back and just tame/train and release. I know one thing that is sure tough for CH profession. There is a complete difference in taming and training BE'd pets and wild ones. I can tame and train 4 BE'd pets inthe time it takes me to train 1 wild pet. I think this isa bunch of ridiculous non-sense....lol. I know it's this way to make it harder but, jeez...come on. The extra 15 to 20 CH xp you get for training wild pets as opposed to BE'd pets is kinda silly. Makes me think that BE'd pets are smarter. Anywhooo...
I got some cool pets and I actually got quite a few stares at the Giant Crystal Baby when I whipped him out in Coronet to train.

whenever i pulled out my crystal snake (not giant) everyone acted like they never seen one before, even the long time vets. there's just not much of a reason to go to yavin 4 other then to grind at the geo cave so i guess that doesn't help much. i always try to send people to yavin when i think they can do ok there, definatly worth the trip even if your not a ch.
some advice from one ch to another... try not to whip your snake out in such a public place next time, might cut down on the stares

Actually, Yavin IV has some nice arachnid creatures I want when I get to the level to tame them. I have yet to go to Yavin 4, myself.

Yavin is a great mid-level planet. (Unfortunately with the current system, newbies have passed that stage when they learn about it...) I never went their much, but it was close behind my favorites Dathomir and Talus.
Kliknik defenders are also great for wild pets between their decent kinetic resistance and intimidate. If they would just make them mountable, a lot of handlers would be happy.

Yeah, I love the atmosphere of Yavin (it's one of the few "forest/jungle" environments where I really feel like that's a canopy overhead). It's always been kind of lean on tamables that I find desirable. Aside from my massacre of tybis before we knew whether they spawned babies. I like the chokus, but even the frenzied choku is kind of low end for the current state of combat.

I have two giant crystal snakes Slip and Slide, i believe they are level 30 or 35. Very cool pets, however in battle I found that most PVE enemies completely ignore them and come running straight at me in essence they rarely catch the aggro. Can anyone who has a crystal snake or giant crystal snake confirm this problem for me? Cool to look at and tomake follow people around though.

Greater Sludge Panther and Devil Gungilaw. It is also a good place to tame/release grind.

Lol Bendi, I do the same too and still get oohs and ahhs from the people who see it constantly. Yavin is abandoned now other than occasional people after the POIs, doing Theme Parks, or Geo cave. Most tames other than the GCS aren't worth it.

I'm still amazed at how many people freakout when I have my normal everyday Gaping Spiders out. My Giant Crystal Snake gets alot of "What the Heck is that!?" Oh yea... I also get alot of "EEWW! Kill it!" when I have my spiders out. Poor guys, they get no love.

i jump between yavin and endor for getting my CH xp ... mixxed between taming and fighting with other CH's ... they both are rare to see others on (more on endor then on yavin) ... but that is fine with me .. that means more wild nests instead of ones that are for a mission ....
