So my Wasteland Cu Pa reached CL9 last night and I was able to train it mount. I started doing a few NPC missions in Bestine. I pulled my Blurrg and off the three of us went.

So we are running out to retrieve some cage from a local thug. No big deal for me and my Rifle, but I didn't pull out my Rifle. As soon as the thug agroed me I watched as my Blurgg spit him to death. Was kinda funny. Then I ran into a group of Kreetles and watched as each of them were shot down with Scratchy's saliva of death. It was quite fun running around on the back of a WCuPa while having a Blurrg watch your back.

Of course some little kid had to run up and ask me to duel. I simply said "No". He then asked "Why not, scared?" Well now I am shaking in my pants (can you feel the sarcasm). I then stated why should I fight you with weapons that are broken. Try me again after CB. I had my MCH title on so he didn't know I was a MRM, but I still didn't feel like taking time from running some nice little missions and spending time with my pets to put this little kid in his place. My goodness, what kind of person actually asks if you are scared? This never worked when I was in gradeschool and its not going to work now. Anyway....

When I crossed one edge of town my Blurrg autostored on me, so I pulled out my Huurton Stalker and Huurton Huntress and we proceeded to do a few escort missions. Was kinda fun to walk an NPC into town while she was flanked by two Huurtons. Oddly she was still showing attackable during the trip, but luckily no one shot her down until the moment I hit converse on the mission giver, so I was credited as finishing the mission.

Was kind of nice to just spend time with my pets and do no real searching or hunting.

I am starting to get back to doing things like this again. I am dropping MRM as I just feel challenged with it. Who knows, maybe I will dabble in BE for a little while and see what I can come up with. No matter what I am definitely going back to crafting as I for some reason miss doing it. Eventually I will remaster Ranger probably.

But I will remain a CH and continue having fun at it.

Oh and Tivo, welcome to Community Elder status. I guess you missed your Jedi status earlier today.

*chuckles* I saw him at Jedi . . . figured someone was happy he got his Bull.

I think its the little fun things like that that really keep me going. All it takes is my pets to make me smile or to see someone excited to see an animal they haven't seen before following me and for a while, its all better.

It's stories like this that keep me going, and hope that the combat balance will make my datapad valuable again. Thanks to the combat imbalance the most valuable thing in my datapad is the wp to the brandy shack. But I love this profession, and all 22 of my pets.

I can't wait till I can keep two pets out. I love the taming so riding my cu pa is a bit of a pain. See baby, store cu pa, tame and discard baby, call cu pa, ooh another baby, store cu pa. It's sad because I really enjoy riding Sandy she is the exact color of a RL pet I had for many years and although not a Wcu pa fairly large for the species so I don't look like my feet drag the ground. I'm half way through the skill box though so not much longer.

I found the krayt graveyard is great for babies. Now if the juvenile and adult krayt hadn't spawned and killed a buddy of mine I would have many more tames under my belt this morning. My first sightings of krayts and .... well ..... I didn't watch from too close by after it shot my friend right out of his speeder and into the cloner.

Agreed, the 2km radius around the Krayt Graveyard POI is fantastic for Tatooinian babies, especially Dune and Feral Banthas, just watch for the Krayts I found a really nice spawn for Feral Banthas(can they be mounted by the way?), and was busy taming away, and a Giant Canyon Krayt spawned right on top of me, hehe, I managed to run away, but those things cut right through /maskscent and /camo as if they're not even there

Another fun night last night.

I dropped Master Scout and finished up Master Marksman (I wanted to finish profs I already started just because). I am currently MCH/MRM/MM.

I headed back to AH, and there were quite a few overt imps running around. I headed back to my house outside town and took a break. When my friend came back online, we ran into AH. After realizing we were outgunned by a lot we stayed covert until we could get more people in town. As soon as more people started showing up the only overt imp left was waiting for the shuttle and then left.

We ended up with about a dozen rebs all ready for some PvP action. We decided to raid Bestine. When we got to Bestine we only found one Overt Imp. He was buffed and took down one of our guys before most of us could get to him. Upon reaching him, I pulled out my Huurton Stalker and sent him in to dizzy and stun. I then along with another CH who sent in his GSH, took the imp down from range. I pulled out my Huurton Huntress, so now I had two Huurtons out with me on guard. A few other Imps showed up in town. We had a few nice little scuffles.

The funniest thing is seeing a overt imp running around looking left and right over his shoulder as he tried to shoot at my Huurtons. Most people just stand their ground, but this guy was funny to watch (he is an excellent pvp'er also) So my Huurtons never took much damage as I didn't go down as they couldn't tell I was the CH.

A Novice CH (that was her title) pulled out a Narglatch BE made, and jumped in on the imp side. I tabbed to attack her but got the Narglatch. My Huurtons intercepted it but not before it poisoned me. It went down, and I have to say I felt a little bad about her pet being incapped. Although it wasn't actually a Narglatch it wasa Frankenstein Narglatch (BE) so it isnt' a real pet (j/k)

When I left Bestine I still had atef and the MBH was outside, he attacked me but my Huurtons ran to him and I downed him I think before they got there, but still it was nice to see some protection. So I had some fun in PvP with my pets, and they actually acted as a distraction since I dont' think anyone knew I was the Master so they couldn't go after me. And no Vitality loss as they didn't go down, but that is only because we outnumbered the imps that did want to fight.

When I was a Ranger, Krayts and pretty much everything else would warp to me and incap/DB me before even worrying about anybody's pets or all the people attacking it. They just loved to take out the Ranger before anything else. This was back when 2 Graul Maulers could tank a Krayt, all I had at that time was a Viscious Huf Din. I got Camo to stay for about 20 seconds and up to 55m from a Krayt once, before a 2nd one spawned and broke it.

Bandy is a feral bantha and I had her saddled by a master. Banthas seem a bit slow as a ride, especially considering that an agroed one can run you down suprisingly fast. I found out how fast when I was still a very green noob with few skills other than rapid incap.

Speaking of a fun night. Last night a friend from work tried out the 14 day trial. I went to Mos Eisley to meet him and having buffed to finish up some easy rifle XP I took him out and tanked for him. Another new player joined so I stood back while they were fighting the noob mobs and sent in a dune lizard baby I had just tamed. It was getting decent experience if not great but it was fun to watch.

We headed out north of town looking for more challenges for them. We came across a scyk layer with one out so the new playersand my lizard take it out. Another one spawned and it went in quick order. Then the noobs started firing on the nest. Well nothing popped and they kept firing. Suddenly the nest went down to that final 10 percent where it does the explosion and out pops 15 scyks at once! Lizards were running everywhere with screaming noobs trying their best to cope.

Both noobs and the lizard incap quickly and I'm poisoned. A couple of quick chugs on a bottle of brandy to stop the mind errosion and I commence to firing. I know I'm new but I've never seen a nest pop that many creatures all at one time. It was fun and funny trying to stay up and firing with 3 incapped individuals around me and a pile of lizard parts slowly growing.
