Thread: Who has a Bull Rancor (baby)? I Do :)

I got my Bull tonight. 
And it is all thanks to Paccy/Camae from WEB on Eclipse.I was sitting in my house in the suburbs of Anchorhead on Tatooine. I had only been online for a few hours, and I was grinding my way up to Novice BE (I miss crafting so much). In the middle of an experimentation try to see what kind of Stim B's I could make, and I get a tell from Paccy/Camae of WEB. The time was 9:44PM CT and the first tell was a simple "hi", then the question came across "wanna tame a bull rancor?". I immediately stood up from my crafter and ran out the door as we discussed which outpost it was near and my estimate of getting there in 15 to 20 minutes if I was lucky.
I jumped on my Swoopbike and headed for Bestine. On the way I typed out the /purchaseticket information for the jump from Doaba to the Science Outpost. I got to the starport and purchased my ticket to Doaba and used my commandline to by the connecting flight (boy was that a good idea). I jumped on the Bestine transport just as it was taking off. I landed in Doaba and barely caught my connecting flight.
I landed in the Science Outpost on Dathomir with my Swoopbike already primed and ready to go. I got the waypoint from Camae and off I went. When I arrived sure enough there was the Bull Rancor (baby) just wandering around with Camae keeping a close eye on him. I was wearing my +12 taming jacket, and attempted the first tame. In the middle of the tame I put on my ubese armor jacket (basically this is habit from back when all aggressive animal babies would could aggro you). I failed the tame and then I got the message "Can't tame that" I hurriedly pulled out each of my droids trying to find my +16 taming shirt. I usually keep it in a toolbar slot but it was mysteriously not there tonight. I found the shirt in my last storage droid, (Whew!). I put it on and started to tame, and got him on the second try.
It was moments later that I realized I had removed my taming jacket for the armor jacket DOH!!!. Anyway, I got my Bull Rancor (baby) and it is all thanks to Paccy/Camae of WEB.
I will edit this post later with screenies at imagedump after I resize them down a little.
WOW, and again WOW, and again WOW.
Now for that Wild Dune Boar

Tivo, I seem to be just behind you on some of these guys. I got my Screecher a few weeks after you, and now my Bull. Hmm, wonder if I can get that Wild Dune Boar before you. Does it reallymatter? No. But it will put a bit of fun back into the hunt.

congrats on getting your bull rancor!!
i do have a question for anyone that cares to answer! you mentioned that you used a +12 taming jacket and a +16 taming shirt.. did those only improved your chances of being succesful at taming the bull rancor, or was it absolutely necessary to have? like, are they actually creatures that a master CH can't tame at all unless they have BE clothes?

Second, I was not able to even attempt a tame when I removed my jacket by accident. I had to have at least the +12 taming jacket to be allowed to try to tame it. I being a non wookiee. I am not sure what the lowest viscious taming modifier is in order to attempt a Bull tame. The max regardless of how many clothes you have is a +25 modifier overall.

Congrats on finding a rare pet that still sucks in combat lol
