Thread: BUGGED Pet????

I bought this BE-ed Woolamander (CL39), used the Tame command on the Deed and I had a new nice pal!

The last few day's I've taken her on several road trips, being a ranger and such, so this morngin she had grown to be a CL35.

However, when I tried to call her, I get:

"You lack the skill to be able to tame that creature"

Excuse me? Taming was already done? I've got another CL35 pet (also max CL35) and I can call that one without any problems. I'm not wearing BE clothes which I don't need when I'm calling pets that are already tamed. You need it with taming and or instructing commands, as far as I understand.

I made a service ticket to CSR, but as usual they're not helpfull. I quote (yes I QUOTE, I will not name the CSR-representatives in this case but IMHO they all should get there asses kicked out the office):

"I would suggest you that you can tame a vicious pet at low level, but once it grows up it will not be of much use. It is as per game design."

Well talking about CH being borked or what????

CSR closed the ticked not even allowing me to continue conversation, so I will keep bugging them with reports until they get fed up with me and fix the damn issue. I also filed in a bug report.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Even as a Master Creature Handler I have to wear a BE item to call my high pets. After they are called I can take the BE clothing off. Hats work well. You only look silly for a short time.

I have max level pet at 42.

Put indeed, as i tried, wearing my BE clothing allows to "tame" it again...

To me it sounds weird and like a quirk...

Once tamed (from deed to datapad) a taming check should not be needed.

But alas... to get the pet out i need to wear BE stuff. Whereasa I can just call a gurrcat of CL35 with not problems at all (also BEed).

I have never had to wear be clothing to "call" a pet. this sounds like a bug to me

I have be pets as high as lvl 68 agressive skins.

woolymanders are agressive but from what I have personally observed (I have had4 of them of31-58 lvl)

there has never been a problem calling them.

the BE may have used dna of high ferocity but considering the lvl of your pet I doubt this is the issue.

try it again with BE clothes, give it to a fellow ch wookie if possible and see if they have a problem.

My opinion its a bugged pet and if so I doubt a csr would ever help and if at master ch or if clothing doesnt work for you, then your out of luck.

update us if you can I'm curious what happens.

As far as I know this is not a bug. Assuming that your CH max level is around 40 or so, you would need BE clothes to call an aggressive creature near that level. I always need BE clothes to call my lvl 70 BE'd kimo. This is not the case however if you are a wookiee, as they have racial mods to creature taming. Also, I am pretty sure you need these clothes to call a Bull Rancor (although I haven't found mine yet), at MCH. Pick up some +25 vicious/wild taming clothes and it will work fine.

This is the same issue that does not allow non-CH to call a level 10 aggressive pet.

Hmm this one again.

I have been a CH for a year. I have had a lvl 68 Kimogila for over half of that. I have NEVER been able to pull it out without wearing taming clothes.

This is working as designed. If you are not a wookie you need to buy taming clothes to pull any high level (over 60 I think) aggressive creatures from your datapad.

Or if you are not MCH then this CL limit is lower.

Creature level has nothing to do with this from what I am told its the ferocity, i Have a lvl 68 pet and no clothing required.

in this case it may very well be his mod level is too low for the creatures ferocityhowever I have never had a problem calling anything BE'd or natural. the rancor bull is a different story.

in another thread I started I'm asking for people to place the creature stats on pets they have that need bio-clothing to call. If you know your creatures stats post them there I'd like to see if its more than just ferocity and or pre-nerf, pre-be patch pets.

Wearing BE clothes (totalling over +40 on both taming) I can call the pet out, so issue so far resolved.

What I don't get is game logic.

You TAME a creature once, in either

1. In the wild taming it literally ourself

2. As the BE-deed comes to live using the Tame-menu option

After that, imho, no more checks should be needed for pet CONTROL!

So calling a pet from datapad has to do with being able to control the pet.

If they replaced the word taming with controlling everything would be fine.

As it is now, it is merely confusing.

bonuses cap out at +25, even though your bio-clothes say ur at +40 it's not so

+25 max on evrything.

figured you should know so you dont waste your money and may be able to wear another piece of clothing to add to another skill.

I believe it is the aggression level of the animal and not the CL that is giving you the message. A woolamander is an aggressive body type. If you were to tame a wild woolamander with the aggression of the animal you own it would not surprise me to find out you need to wear taming clothing first.

Once you level in creature handler your "taming vicious critters" level will increase and you will no longer have to wear taming clothes to use your wooly.

It is CL combined with an aggressive skin. You can call a CL 68 with no clothes if it is not aggressive. If it is you need to be a wookie or have a taming vicious creature clothing bonus. It has NOT recently been changed. It has always been like this.

If you are hunting for a bull rancor baby, and arent a wookie, you NEED to wear taming clothes or you cant tame it. If you are lucky enough to tame a bull, you will NEED to wear taming clothes to pull it from the datapad when it is full grown.

I have3 be-pets one lvl 68 one lvl 65 the other lvl 60 all 3 i can call without clothing and 2 out of three of them are agressive skin

this is part of the reason I started a thread on stats to see. either my character is bugged (zabrak) and I am lucky, or there is more tothis than people think. if you have a creature that needs clothing please post stats there.
