Thread: CH BH template question
I have novice medic, so CM might help a bit more.

I am looking at going Master BH, Master Ch, 4000 CM...
My main combat toon, on Test Center Prime, is very close to that template, with the only difference being that I'm only 1000 CM, due to FS skills.
I'm currently using 3 BE crafted pets and a CL30 DZ70 Combat Droid, with a 110 Medical Rating. The medical module on the droid will boost Bacta shot by 450 points. I'm not exactly sure how much the med rating will boost the Advanced Bacta Spray, but it will be a noticable difference. Using the 4 'pets' am able to solo my way through the Myyydril caves, up to the bosses, dance through the Geo Caves withminor challenge, or take down a Giant Kimo, with a little bit of challenge.
The only issue with this template is the fact that you will chew through armor pretty quickly, unless you ADK it, since by design it is an aggro magnet. However, you will be able to solo more content in the game then most stackers can, since your average DPS will be considerably higher due to the 3 creatures, and 1 droid if you chose to use it.
This template also works really well in PvP, since it creates 5 targets for your opponent, all of which will be hitting for more combined damage then he/she can produce in a single hit. The minute your opponent focuses on one target, it frees you up to heal using Bacta Shot, which will hit for 1500+ per use, while he/she is still taking more damage then is being dished out.
Also works great against Jedi marks, since you could always have a DE craft a Adv R3 with 1 Level 6 Medical module, 1 Cobmat Module, and 4 Detonation Modules, to give the Jedi a nice little surprise.
Works pretty well for player Jedi bounties, and I anticipate it working far better after Publish 21 with some new specials and AI fixes.
Just remember with no healing, this can be a tough template to survive with if you don't kill the Jedi VERY fast. Good energy-resist armor sliced for armor break and high-powered basic stims (along with Ruby Bliel to cut down the stimpack timer) are must-haves, and a damage capped rifle helps immensely.

I'm a Twi'lek Master Creature Handler/Master Bounty Hunter/4004 Rifleman. Used to be MCH/Master Rifle/4040 BH until they put the Jedi missions to master BH, then had to cash in my respec token and alter my template a bit. Still use all rifles.

Alas I know your fealings on the matter.
I am a MBH/MCH
After that I am still not sure. Should I take healing with the lack of healers about it would make me more self sufficient, and on the other hand rifles do such wonderful damage, but with BH I might want to work on pistols or carbines get them up higher and more effective. There is always master marksman the only question is does general power really make it worth it. Finally with the upcomeing fixes to CH maybe I might want to invest in the trapping line that way I could act as a real state dealer. I always liked being a state dealer prior to the CURB. I was a MBH and a CH then too. I liked stacking enemies up with all the states via sprayshot and whatever my pet would actually do for me.
My best oppinion would be focus on one roll to perform exceedingly well. With MCH you are giveing up alot in the way of offense and defense passive. When shopping for your trifecta might I suggest going for whatever will be the cheapest to do say pistoleer carbineer or trapping. Then as you try these guys out judge whether they give you the kind of kick you need for your playstyle.
I'm a wookie Master CH/BH/4-0-0-4 Rifleman and love it! Bowcaster + HLR = Awesome![]()
I only suggest this template for wooks though, if not a wook Master CH/BH/4-0-0-0 CM is prolly better![]()
I highly recommend at least picking up Novice Medic. The 15 skill point investment, and a 110 rated Medical Droid will push up your healing to around the 720 point per pop range. Add combat to the droid, and not only have you increased your DPS to the same as picking up a few more combat skills, but it also makes you as effective at healing as someone that is xx4x Medic.
The ability to heal yourself, while in combat, will totally outweight the loss of a damage that you can do, in the long run. By using a combat droid, to compliment your pet(s) and boost your healing, you will actually gain most, if not all,of that 'lost' damage back.
I found this out while playing around with Drashka's template, when I had my /respec. I ended up, by accident, as MBH/MCH/NCM, but quickly discovered how balanced and powerful this combonation can be.

I am currently a MRM/MCH/3410 BH and thats the temp im probably going to respec into, but my only real concern is damage. What kind of rifle are you using? I usuially just use my T-21 but now realize that its energy damage is making it less effective than a kinetic one.
I use a crafted Trandoshan Hunting Rifle (Ko-a's Retribution):
2.75 speed (includes 2% speed slice)
531-1183 damage (includes 8% damage slice)
82 SAC
+20 Accuracy Bonus
3% Critical Hit slice
Crafted by Mor-Dan, the weaponsmith correspondent, using +176 krayt. Heh heh.
I tossed a 35% damage powerup on it and it goes to like 713-1375 damage. With all my mods (+25 Rifle Speed/Accuracy, +25 General Ranged Speed/Accuracy SEAs) I can hit quite fast quite often. Against an unarmored target in PvP I can do 1800+ damage per shot pretty easily using a special.
The fact that it's energy damage only hurts it against PSGs, all other Jedi armor is equally resistant to energy/kinetic. PSG's max protection is 2500, which is pretty low when all things are considered. Not to mention a fair number of finished template (and other) Jedi don't wear PSGs because they need the belt slot for attachments.
If you're really worried about kinetic damage, get a quest reward Fallaan Hyper Rifle, slice it for 2% speed, 8% damage, 3% critical and toss a SAC reducer powerup on it, since it has a 95 SAC base. That's a pretty viable alternative, though significantly less base damage than a capped rifle.
