Thread: Help-Cant find Thick Skin!!

hmm, damn unlucky..... I had no this big problems to find thick skin..... got thick skin 2 last week from the 3rd brackaset on dath I tamed.... and thick skin 1 from a lucky CL1 horned krevol yesterday.... I dont go out and look for just one sort of critter to get an ability, I simply tame everything I see.... after a few starting problems I now got a fair bit of abilities I alrdy learned and a few more that are still on pets waiting to be worked out. wish u good luck, dont give up
I was looking for a non ch dewback mount yesterday on farstar Tat for a guildie and had the exact same issue, over an hour and never saw one wild spawn anywhere.I gave up and tamed a lesser plains bol instead, took 10 minutes to get one on dant.
For thick skin, as said, horned kreevols seem to be the answer, in fact, I got 90% of the level one skills in the game off low levels on naboo, just running between theed and moenia, taming babies, then using them to kill everything else I came near.

One of my alts is a CH on Starsider, and hasn't had much trouble finding babies of various creatures all over Talus. I've picked up a guf drolg with thick skin 1 there. Rot mites with abilities, Wrixes, Motley Wrixes...
I don't know if it's your play time compared to mine, but I've done the ride from Dearic to Imperia outpost a couple times and filled my datapad with babies. If you like, I can send you the waypoint to the Imperia outpost.

I did the run of POIs in southwestern Tatooine yesterday and loaded up on more babies then I could tame, I was getting them training them and releasing them, I was in heaven picked up 5 more specials to train, wish they didn't take so long. You may want to try those areas, they are seriously populated on my server. I started at Ben's house and made my way on foot through to the Escape Pod. I did have to dodge the large numbers of Krayts that were in the area since I am only level 37 and wouldn't last to long, lol.

I have also had trouble finding certain specials. As with anything random that you really want to happen, I think looking for a certain special is a bad idea since it will inevitably seem to take longer when you need it to happen than when you weren't looking for it. When looking for FFL1 (since i had come across FFL2, and wanted the set) I tamed ~5 swirl prongs, ~15 lantern birds and ~800 flewts before I found FF. However, excluding these, every other time I've tamed something (just to see what they may have) I've found something ~50% of the time. So they're out there when you're not looking, but sometimes finding the one you want is still super hard.
Another note: When roaming Tatooine for ~5 continuous hours over the weekend in search of a dwarf bantha, I never found one. At first the desert was EMPTY! But I did the trick of killing ANYTHING you find. So when i came across a lone kreetle, I killed it. Then I'd find like 2 bocatts. Killed 'em. Eventually there were quite a few random spawn lairs. Mostly mites/scyks. Then there were cu pas EVERYWHERE! I found several mountain dewback lairs with babies. Thick Skin was easy for me to get... but alas, never a dwarf bantha. I can get them to spawn from bull bantha mission lairs, but not babies. So it seems the empty planet "bug" is widespread and very frustrating. Hopefully someone will know how this started and be able to fix it, i just shudder to think how long it will take to see it live.

The problem was not that I didnt know where to look (thanx foryour clickyJoker LOL)..it was more about if anyone else had the problem of finding empty planets and the stupidness of having an empty planet..and if anyone found ThickSkin on something else..so I wouldnt have to spend my time on an empty planet! :-)
AND my frustration of taming 100's of creatures to not get the one I want. :-) It was more a rant.
Interesting to see how other servers see the same thing or not tho. No one should have to kill tons of creatures in order for the planet to come alive. Thats not the purpose of a RPG. That makes it like a game..takes teh fun out I think.
