Thread: graphics allowed in signatures for EQ2 so why not for SWG?

The forums for EQ2 allow graphics in the user signatures. See guidelines.


Why isn't this allowed in SWG forums?

GarVa mentioned something about it a while ago...something about there being less EQ players on the forums, that and he said they're more mature...I don't know where he'd get that idea

A Galactic Civil War fought not with glowsticks or lightsabers, but with blasters, lances, and how much guts you have. A Galactic Civil War which reflects the timeline, the destruction of the Death Star, the absolute control which the Empire has and the brave Rebels trying to break up that reign... The extinction of all but a few rare and special Jedi. That my friends, is the Galactic Civil War and that is what we have to aim for.

The "looks above" was a reference to a post above that he edited out.


The EQ2 guidelines spell out what is and is not allowed and says that people will be banned if they break the rules. They even mention the "volume of complaints" they get in the EQ2 forums, yet it is still allowed there. There is no reason they can't do that for SWG too.

The EQ2 crowd is a lot more mature - that is the primary reason - too many flame wars here, and people who spend too much time on the boards complaining about stuff instead of playing the game

Well real reason is cause they got hacked. Evidently uber leet peeps don't play the Everquest. Or, they have more moderators and can respond to any trouble quickly.

SWG is the stepchild of EQ2, the (failed)sequel to EQ1. But they (devs) are so in love with it's combat system, we get it anyway

Go look at the EQ2 forums sometime. They are being promised a revamp. The kiss of death.
