Do I understand correctly that a toon that is glowy CAN NOT be xfer'd to a new server? If this is so can someone from SOE please tell me why? Most people that would want to xfer would be vets and most likely be glowy. This just doesn't seem right.

/bump for Glowy toon transfer and/or species change.
I am looking forward to the faction armor, but won't be able to use any with my main being a wook. I am still holding out hope for some sort of species change or at the least, the ability to swap 2 characters.

I doubt they will allow a species change. That will accelerate an inevitable trend which will lead to the species with the highest health potential that can wear all armor types (Human most likely) being 99% of all the combat players.
Those of us gimped by the CU will have to live with it, quit, or reroll from scratch.

Well, it does seem to be how they have run things so far, the don't give each species the same amount of content or immersion as the next. I hope at the very least a swap of a glowy character for another of my characters will be allowed, my ultimate goal would be a species change, and I will contine to email, and PM Devs until they give me a good reason why certain character choices make your 14.99 not worth as much. Join the fight...don't just settle.

They won't.
SOE doesn't care.
Sad but true.

Only true if yor server wasn't dying like Scylla is. I only know person from when I first started that still plays the game. Gets very boring very fast if there's no one you know to hang with.

Bloodfin is already dead.
Dominated by an apathetic rebellion, that is vulnerable to a single huge Imp guild full of griefing exploiters.
Which the CSR's will do nothing about.

Details on the character transfer service can be read here:
(for future reference, or if that link doesn't work, there's a link to that page from the main starwarsgalaxies.com page, it's in the menu bar on the left).
You are correct that force sensitive or Jedi characters cannot be moved to another galaxy or another account. The block on moving to another account is probably to limit "ebay jedi" (selling characters to another player), and it's possible that the galaxy changerestriction is a result of that. That's just my personal guess, I don't think SOE has ever publicly stated the reasons behind their restrictions.
I'm not really sure that vets would be more likely to desire a transfer. If you've been playing on a galaxy long enough to become force sensitive, I'd think you'd be less likely to want to move, since you'll have built up a lot of in-game friends and contacts.
