I just logged back in after a 1.5yr break in the military. I was told I could not move because I had negative skill points and that I had to respec my character. Now I have no skills and am no longer a Master Swordsman. Not only that I was pretty high into the commando tree. Please help and restore my character back to normal or tell me what I have to do to get it back. It said something about being able to respec in 12hrs. Will it reset then? CSM please help me. If you have the ability to review my account you will see I am not making this up. PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Calm down, it's really easy.
You still have to take *some* action for the respec. YOu should have an option to respect "never" "later" or "now". Just chose never and it should work for you.
If you need more assistance, I'd suggested going over to the following forum:
Star Wars Galaxies Forums : Core Systems : Game Guides
Lots of folks asking questions over there.

You should be able to respec into the skills you had before in 12 hours. The system will keep track of the number of respec points you had. In 12 hours do a /respec and just select the skills you would like.
If for some reason the game took all your skills without giving you respec points you'll have to open a CSR ticket.

Yeah, I think I messed it all up. I dont remember seeing a respec box. When I clicked respec, it brought up what appeared to bea normal skills box. Man I hope didn't and If I did I hope they can restore it. Thanks for the posts guys. If you find out anything else please let me know. Thanks again

Ok, one important question:
When you respec'ed your character, did you drop skills within the respec tool, or did you use the "surrender skill" button on the skill tree?
Basically, here's what happened: pre-requisite skills changed for almost all combat professions (Master swords requires 2-handed IV and unarmed IV), and the conversion process automatically gives you any missing pre-reqs. However, in your case, this used up more than 250 skill points so you're not allowed to move until you clear up the "skill point debt".
If you used "surrender skill", those are gone and cannot be regained; except for possibly with CSR intervention, although I'm not sure what their official policy is on that. If you removed skill boxes within the respec tool, you should have "elite points" and "regular points" banked up to put into the skills you want.

If you clicked respec you get a skills box but it'll have numbers on the bottom saying how many respec points you have for the skills surrendered. If you remove a skill in this box all you have to do is double click on the box and then it appears red. Then you just double click on the boxes you want to add.
If you surrendered the skills out of the respec box you'd have a popup message forcing you to type 'yes' for each skill you dropped.
