Loaded today's patch and I noticed that beautiful plaque that was placed in my inventory...Thank you SOE - THAT'S THE WAY TO SCORE POINTS WITH YOUR C.B (Customer Base)...At least with THIS customer...OH, and before I forget - /humblegratitude for the NON-Combat Respec - You may have saved my WELL established (NON-COM b4 the CU) Toon and my patronage.
Keep up the BETTER work (smile).

Yes, I'm quite confused about this plaque really. A plaque? That says 'Combat Upgrade' on it? Not that I have anything against the Combat Upgrade now, but do I have to have a plaque that reminds me of this dark time in SWG's life?

You could delete it. I like the plaque. Of course, I also liked the CU.

The plaque is cool. I promptly put it up in my house. Of course, after the most recent Corbantis reboot, my house is gone. (guess I'll need to get a new plaque)

Which is all the more reason to put something special in. In EverQuest 2, SOE put in a stack of books that we could pick up and decorate our apartments with that said (not actual quote, just the idea behind it) "I survived the crash of December '04". When something major happens (such as the previously mentioned crash that had all the EQ2 servers down the entire weekend before Christmas), a little token that says "Thank you" goes a long, long way. That's what this is. Something that looks nice, and says thank you for standing by us.

I think you need to look at it like the way vets look at medals ... harrowing experience embodied in the giving of something that is itself of little value but something that means so much. My plaque sits in my house above my study desk - where I log out every night. It is the last thing i see as i leave the game and i feel great for it.

its actually a special shield for the crafters that protects them out in the field while checking thier harvs.....
I just wiped my arse on mine.....still picking the splinters out........Typical SOE need a patch for it to sand it down!!

lol. They should have made it a tombstone rather than a plaque. Maybe a CSR hologram that does a /slap emote on you when you click it? A painting of the devs they must be sacking that made the CU necessary?

I like the CU and I love my plaque, it's just one of those things that the vets will be able to show off just to say, "Yeah I was there so booya!"
