I payed £35 for SWG just over a year ago and got no free gift

I payed £25 for JTL and got no free gift

I Pre Ordered and payed about£15 ($25) forROTW and got a Lizard

So far I have spent £75 on software for 2 accounts and payed 16 months worth of subscription.

Now newbies buying the the Complete set Only have to pay £17 here in the UKAND they get a BARC speeder, the ONLY vehichle in the game that can be brought back from disabled.

Whats more if I have to re-install then _I_ have to do approximately a 7 hour download to update after re-installing from my disks.

Come on Sony, over the last year and a bit Ive payed you around £470 to play this game. I claim seniority over the new players and demand a free BARC speeder _and_ I would like to see a set of new discs on its way to me so I dont have to play the waiting game if I need to re-install.

The newbies should have had the Lizard and the pre-orders should have had the BARC.

I agree with this. I've been playing since before day 1(beta)...well day 2 due to the login servers being down the first day. $50 for SWG, $20 for JTL, $25 for RoTW. Now i'm going to go spend another $30 just so i can get the barc and trade it to my main account. I think that they probably knew that this would be a good way to squeeze a little more blood from the stone that is their loyal (or is it addicted...maybe brainwashed) players.

Tsumitsuki...

A nice way to speed up your downloads if you have to remove the game is to copy all the big patch files in the root of the installation directory to a CD (if you have a CD writer).

I just installed my second account on another PC and was waiting for the downloads for ages, then I realised I already have these files on my normal PC! So, I stopped my download by closing the launcher program on my second PC and then copied in all the big files (the large "numbered" files) to the root of the directory on the second PC.

I then loaded up the launcher on the second PC again and it was more than happy with them and took only a minute to get the small files I didn't know to copy in.

Hope that helpsas I doubt very much so that we will get any CDs as it stated on the terms and conditions for the digital download.

This decision, of course, is typical of what we've come to expect.

Veteran players who bought the expansion should have gotten their CHOICE, or even both of the rewards.

From the main page:

"Due to popular demand from players, the 3 additional ship storage slots bonus offer will be extended to include purchase of the new retail box, "Star Wars Galaxies: The Total Experience", hitting stores on May 26th."

I think that there is more than just a popular demand to have the BARC speeder extended to those of us who have been, still are and wil continue toplay this game.

They never made any secret of the fact the speeder comes with the full box set.

If you wanted the BARC that badly why on earth did you pre order the Digital Download ? With SOE's track record on releases, knowing how bug ridden they release everything,I can't believe you were so desperate for the expansion that you couldn't have waited a couple more weeks and bought the boxed set for £2 more and got more up to date disks as well.

Because I pre-ordered on the first day the DD was announced as available, I ordered it because the original announcement for it stated that the 3 extra ship slots were exclusive to the digital download this was later, and very shortly before the live dateammended toinclude the boxed set. The Boxed set had not been announced at the time I pre ordered, I did not spot the change in the announcement before the live day because it was so close and I did not even know about the boxed set until after live day. Had I known I would have waited and bought the "experience" in the shops.

To the other backup suggestion I have a feeling that would contravene the EULA, but I would of course temporarily transfer (move) the files to a spare hard disk (thus the software is still on one and only one piece of hardware for that licence)

Tell you what.. Sony can charge the extra £2 to my card and exchange my lizard for a BARC and Ill graciously forget about the updated disks.
