Here are two answers for you:
1) Try squeezing a stone to get blood.
2) Try pooping in one hand and wish in the other.
Ok, those might not work, but this is a kind of round about answer I got.
1. "SOE will not admit openly to any bugs or problems in the game"<--- This statment is true, has anyone seen any official documentation? It's always, "Here's what's on deck!" or "Today we fix..." They will never come out with a totally enclusive list (You just might use it to your advantage)
2. Timelines are never broadcast to the customer. This creates and ebb and flow around fixes, it also shows the priority. Imagin the flame fest if SOE spelled out the CU.
Unfortunate as it may be, these are the things we must live with...
SOE better learn to start living with the ebb and flow (and rush) of the subscriber base to the exit doors if that is the way they are going to approach this.
I feel that we've been more than patient. It's been THREE WEEKS since the CU was pushed onto us. There has been no concerted effort to make fixes. No answers have been given.
The chaos and anger on the forums that came with the CU is about to be repeated as more and more get frustrated and angry. This needs to be headed off.
What caused all the hurt feelings and customer outrage was the information vacuum. SOE needs to start FILLING that void with information if they want to prevent a repeat.
Frankly, I'm wondering when George Lucas is going to get involved. When you have a nationally available cable gaming channel (G4) doing stories on how a website of outraged SWG players (swgpetition.com) is the most popular Star Wars related fan website on the week before the release of the movie, you have a problem that even the Boss (Lucas) is going to have to stand up and take notice of. Not to mention the SAVAGE review the CU/ROTW are set to get on G4 come Friday.
SWG is right now the EMBARASSMENT of the Lucas/Star Wars franchise machine.
Surely something will be done. Or else they have given up and the game will be allowed to just die, as it's going to in a matter of months if the issues are not resolved quickly.
