Greetings,
Ok background. I am an Australian who has followed the game since 2000. I am a paying customer for 2 years. I have Two accounts. I am One Leader in Bellicose Imperius on Flurry. I did not want to go Jedi but just as the Combat Upgrade Hit I begun to Grind for The Village. I Grinded not to be So Great. I Grind because Jedi seem to get fixes more so then the other professions I go:
Squad Leader: I loved that profession but It can't lead properly.
Commando: Loved it. No I didn't use its Grenades to Grind Combat Xp EVER. Still I could not blow up big things and do the Damage I should of.
Smuggler: What Can I say? Slicing System which makes me just Generic. MY slices are like everyone else's. Oh Don't forget I still can't Smuggle.
Jedi Seem to be the majority of Fixes etc. In my opinion anyways. Guildmates urged me to play the game a bit more. Then I hear reports from Test Center Combat XP Conversion Rate CHANGED!!!!!
1:30
Bounty Hunter
1:5
I was outraged and tried to grind a bit more but Could not do so cause I have a life and I enjoy B-Imp ALOT. It's what keeps me playing now. Ok Go ahead all Jedi Grinding Haters and Already Jedi who seem to Love these changes who either: Have no intention of going Jedi (Like I once was until I realized Professions I was weren't getting a fix anytime soon) or the Already Jedi who grinded Pre-CU with the Combat XP at 1:3 or during Double XP. I would of been completely happy with the change if:
I was told about it by a Developer or Community Relations Person, but I was not. I was told by paying customers.
I want Answers. Why was I not told? Ok Come Patch Time. I was still not told. Until a While later when Thunderheart replied to the Huge amount of complaints and said Oh I have adjusted the Notes for that. Well A bit late I believe.
Why am I still here? Because I enjoy B-Imp too much its Star Wars and I live to watch for a Simple fix to AOE for Commandos, Some love for Smugglers or Love for Squad Leaders.
But Obviously my concerns fall on deaf ears. I am not one bit impressed by this "Under-Cover" change. It is just not Right to not tell your customers about changes in "their contract" or for this matter game. I pay 30 Dollars a month for this game and I am reconsidering my position. Not because I am crying over the change because I am unhappy with the response and the "cover-up". I really am not TOO worried about the change itself but just How it was presented to the community.
Well Thats all I have to say. I really don't complain out-loud much but I think It was time to show my Concerns. People of the Community you either agree or disagree. I respect your opinions but I don't appreciate being criticized cause I have a complaint for a Service I am paying for just like you all. (Thats for the future reference for Flames)

Apart from the fact that I'd add some other issues (more and more transforming the game from player driven economy to loot based for example) I completely agree.

I think I understand what you are saying, but your font is too large and too blue for me to follow with my eyesight.
1. Then I hear reports from Test Center Combat XP Conversion Rate CHANGED!!!!
Um....yeah. It was posted over in the Test center notes a couple weeks ago. That is where the devs post the Test Center patches. There's been tons of discussion about it. If you didn't know this before the publish went live, it's only because you didn't read that forum.
2. It is just not Right to not tell your customers about changes in "their contract" or for this matter game.
I am assuming you don't read the "Gameplay may change at any time" thing that comes up every time you log into the game? It's the nature of a MMO...gameplay will *always* change. Love it or hate it, the game develops on the path that they feel is an overall benefit to the game.
You have a choice. You can accept change and move along with it or you can choose to not. It is your decision. Over the last 2 years, I've seen plenty of change. A lot of change I like and a lot I don't. However, it is still *my* decision to stick it out, to see how it pans out and what is coming up for the future.
The devs, SOE or Lucas Arts owes you no other explanation over what the screen says everytime you log in. They do post a lot of changes, get feedback and all from the playerbase. If you want to be more involved, make a toon on Test Center. Read the TC forums, In development and such. Check the dev tracker.
Otherwise, you will continue to be surprised at every single publish.

MMO's constantly change and evolve that is what keeps people playing
them. No one intentionally wants to make you quite the game and changes
that are made are made for the overall improvement of the game. Some
people will always be unhappy with changes but you cannot please
everyone all the time.
