What browser are you using? I have seen problems where you can't post in Firefox, but can in IE. If you are using Firefox and can't post try this.
Go into your profile and then the Preferences tab. Make sure Use WYSIWYG Message Editor is unchecked.
When I couldn't post in Firefox and unchecked that, everything worked ok.
