Don't limit your search to just 10 per page either. Go for the 50 per page option so you can try and avoid the error given when you just try to go to the next page of your search.

An email was sent out late yesterday regarding this.
Just an FYI, this "the search option is currently unavailable" or "your search returned no results" gimmick seems to have just been a cover-up of the ol' "There are too many searches in progress, try again later" error that Lithium used to generate on these forums (and which generated much hate for doing forum searches).
The "there are too many searches in progress" message generated a lot of frustrated posts, and that was "looked into" awhile ago as a result, and instead we got "the search option is currently unavailable" as a "fix" to the problem.
In other words, all three messages generated are a result of the same problem - Lithium has some kind of massive problem with allowing multiple searches, which the forums are very much in need of.
It was a nice try for Lithium to change the message, but "The search option is currently unavailable, please try again later" is no less frustrating than "There are too many searches in progress, try again later."
I have very often searched for things, only to get "your search returned no results" repeatedly, until eventually *poof* it actually DOES return results. To prove that the "no results" message is a not-so-clever ruse, I've attempted to search for the word "Jedi" in the Jedi forums and gotten "your search returned no results" when I've gotten stuck with that message repeatedly. It's not that the search returned no results, it's that the forums are too bogged down to return results.
The problem with this, Tiggs, is that the forums are a wealth of knowledge...knowledge that nobody can find if the search function can't be made reliable.
So, anyways, might wanna show this to Lithium and say, "Nice try, now really fix the search function."
