This isn't the first time an unpopular nerf has stealthed into a publish without notification or explanation, until after the fact.
I think they are too scared to inform us of sweeping unpopular changes because they know how we will react. For some reason this doesn't give SOE pause before implimenting them though.

I don't want to turn this into a debate over the validity of recent xp changes or whether SOE has the right to do so. In the case of the combat conversion rates and the more recent group xp nerf, I could have dealt with the changes much better if there had been prior notice and a reason for them.
I understand they could solve a jedi population problem but, they seriously degraded my play experience. Not only that, their introduction (or lack thereof) have seriously eroded my confidence in SOE. In both cases, they emerged unannouced officially into live behind some sort of smokscreen. The combat conversion reductionwas allowed to be believed to be a fix to the exploit of grinding with grenades and then noted briefly in a 2nd day ammended patch note. Patch 22 gave us an xp nerf clouded by broken/changed xp displays and again notification the day after.
If these "fixes" can't bear the light of scrutiny by your customers until they are already implemented for a day, how good are they. I can't say whether this ineptitude or conspiracy in combination by the devs and community relations staff but, it makes me feel seriously abused as a customer. Stop the stealth Nerf BS!
