I'm neither a Correspondant nor a Blue Glowie, but I think pulling them from the Corr forums is a bad choice.
This game needs more feedback, not less. For a little while there it seemed like the community was being listened to more, yet now we seem to be backsliding again.
The Blue Glowies were kind of backup Corrs for us, if our Corr was on vacation or something, we felt secure in knowing that others were there to have our professions best interests at heart. It is critical that new ideas are bounced off of people before coding is done, because it's rare that coding is totally scrapped.
Plus the Blue Glowies are some of the more dedicated people, you have just alieniated them. The current people in the game are the ones that need to be kept happy, you can't be expecting to replace them with new people from the expansion, those will move on to the next game when the winds change.

Agreed.
Blue Glowies have proven themselves time and time again asvaluable resources. Theyknow their professions and having an opportunity to get to know them better in the Alpha Combat boards have earned my respect.
I heard lots of rumors about the why's and the warnings and whatnot, but these guys are the voice of the community and to cut them off is a loss to SOE.

That isn't the way the release read.
I wonder what prompted this? Did someone actually (GASP) DARE to stand up for the PLAYERS in this forum instead of kiss the Dev's posteriors as if Milky Way bars and not a smelly waste substance came out of them?

As of today, March 21, 2005 all Blue Glowies will not have access to the Correspondent forum thirty days after retirement. Please join us in thankingall of the Blue Glowies for volunteering their time to helping the community and bringing feedback fortheir professions to our attention.
All Blue Glowies will still retain their status as our way of acknowledging their hard work and dedication to the program.
There's the quote. Are you referring to some other release??

"Too many cooks spoil the broth"
If I have a problem, concern or question, I want one person to go to. Having more than that can cause problems, such as a new correspondant getting "overlooked" because the old one is still very vocal and active. Had they wanted to remain part of the solution, the Blue Glowiesshould have remained correspondants.
Assistants aren't really needed in this case.

Just more evidence of how Sony couldn't find customer service if it were the only thing in a paper bag.

Uh, unless I read it wrong, the only thing they are saying is that once a correspondent quits, and is replaced, that they no longer have access to the private correspondent forums after 30 days. So not sure what this thread is about.
