You know, I would have loved to search for any previous threads addressing this question, but the forum search functionality is so lacking that I really don't think I could find it if there is any. It would be very helpful to be able to search within the past XX days instead of seeing outdated threads from two years ago, not to mention specifying where the terms are to be found in (such as "Search in Title" or "Search in Body"). It also doesn't help that most of us only play in a single galaxy, but we constantly have to sift through forums for other galaxies. If not in the search, the main portal should at least give an option to set a default galaxy and only show forums for that galaxy.

I can't remember how many times I've wanted to find information on a topic only to return hundreds of results for threads that were from long ago in a galaxy far far away.

Too true ... but sometimes information from other galaxies (though NOT the trade forums!) is useful. Some form of date sorting or filtering is desperately needed, just TRY to check for any recent auctions for a given resource!
