Have a friend who would like to come back and try out the new changes, but since he is unable to transfer his force sensitive character to his station account that he uses for EQ II, he said he won't bother. He is even willing to pay the $50.00 charge, but since he his character is force sensitive, this isn't even an option. He isn't going to pay the extra monthly fee even if he does like the changes, but he said he would upgrade to station pass if he liked the changes.
Can anyone explain why this restriction exists? Many people who became force sensitive prior to the SWG being a part of the station pass are really getting the shaft on this.
This restirctions just seems silly and I'm sure my friend isn't the only one not coming back because of this.

The restriction is there due to the way that Jedi are unlocked and its
unlikely to change. However your friend could do the opposite, and move
his eq2 character to the account that his Jedi is on and still only
have one account.

Here's my 2 cents:I'm not a hater who thinks that everything the dev's do makes them lose customers. On the contrary I love swg and the dev's and SOE and everything they put out. But odds are that 95% of the characters worth transferring to another server or account are Force Sensitive. Like myself. I started SWG on a friend's account(b/c I saw him playing and got hooked). After a few months with my own character I figured I'd wanna try account transfer(so I could play at same time as him and have an account to call my own). But then when I read the fine print,it unfortunately means I'm stuck on this account with no way of getting my own account with my character that I'vd developed for so long(B/c I'm FS and currently in the village). My guess is all Quests Status' are removed from your account so if you server/account transfer you'll have no record of completing any Village Quests, and hence they wouldn't talk to you in village(or else you'd have to work up all the boxes again),nor any record of completing the old man's quests you get right after becoming FS(and hence it'd be a bug where you couldn't get into village, even though you're FS). Oh well, this is too bad(oh well I'll just take over the account[already have for probably half a year+] from the aforementioned friend, who tires of swg constantly, unlike me). And yes I know that playing on a friend's account is against the rules, and I've most likely just condemned myself, but hey that's my 2 cents. P.S. Sorry for the long, almost irrelevant, rant. |

Uh what does it matter on how the Jedi are unlocked? What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? It's a simple transfer. Not rocket science people. Geez.

Not as upset as I would be if I couldn't readlike you....
His account is inactive. He will reactivate his account if he can move it over to his station pass account.
Also he isn't a Jedi he is simple force sensitive.
Of course you knew that because you read thatbefore responding right?

I stand by what I said. I should have added that really, many of us are tired of jedi/FS whining about how unfair they feel the game is. They made a decision and there are reasons why. There are so many other things to really complain about which affect *all* players. Listening to jedi/FS complain about *everything*, is just getting old. Since there weren't a bunch of jedi in this time period, I'd be really happy if they just had a massive slaying of them all. However, since people are more into their selfish desire to be a bada$$ jedi rather than the Star Wars story and roleplay, this won't change. So, many of us who have zero desire to be jedi or FS just put up with it and play the game the best we can with all the bright glowy sticks of doom surrounding us. |

Ok so you don't like Jedi in the game, we get it.
What does that have to do with a character transfer?
Hijack someone else thread with your "I hate Jedi" rant because it really has no place here. I'm asking about about character transfer not about the balance of Jedi in the game.
