Thread: Role-Playing is a Core System?

There's been rumblings again, as there have been many times before, in the Role-Playing forum for a Correspondent specifically for role-players. In the past, it has been said that Role-Playing is considered a Core System and therefore falls under that category.

But the Role-Playing forum is all the way at the bottom in the "Other" section.

Would it be possible to see the Role-Play forum moved up into Core Systems where it should be since there is no longer a generic "Core Systems" forum for those issues to be posted in?

Definetly important. For a MMORPG the Role-playing forum is definetly a core system!

I don't think there really is a reason why there needs to be a Roleplaying Correspondent however.

I agree that it doesn't necessarily need one all to itself, but as a Core System it really should be treated that way. It tends to get forgotten way down there at the bottom.

I agree.. although - on FarStar role playing is very difficult as the guilds like to keep themselves distanced from everybody else. Would be nice to have some SOE organised events.

There are things that could add to roleplay, and perhaps if the forum is moved up those ideas could be better heard and discussed? I have to admit, I oftenforget there's a forum for roleplay.

Oh and I was involved in another on-line game where there was a roleplaying team leader and I think it definately helped the roleplayers be heard and change things for the better.
