Well, you don't have to do the /respec twice a day. Your "respec period" (the 2-3 weeks from your character's first login after the CU) will expire whether you use the respec or not. You can just select "never" on the respec prompt, and it won't come up again unless you manually use the /respec command. After this period, you'll have one more chance (the "token" respec) to change your template (and this can be used up by just accepting your current template), and then you can put this behind you. Honestly, if you don't have the patience to wait out a couple weeks, the force sensitive grind may kill you.

Although if you were MS / MP before the combat upgrade, wouldn't you already have those badges from when you gained those the first time? I thought that the respec blocking "you feel an inner glow" was only for people who were trying to get new master badges. Does /checkForceStatus have you at surging (the next to the last stage) or with an inner glow?

No, the professions I mastered prior to the combat revamp apparently do not count toward the profession mastery badge. Go figure.

I can out-grind just about anybody - thats not the problem. Sitting still for 2-3 weeks is the problem. There's no fun in that and I do play for fun. Thanks for clearing up the matter about the respec period though... SOE Customer Service has been far less informative on the issue.

I recently returned from an extended leave of absence - I left prior to the combat revamp. I've returned to SWG to continue the FS progression, andI'm already a CL80 Master Smuggler, Master Pistoleer. It was always my intent to be a Master Smuggler, Master Pistoleer ... I really don't have any desire to change this character in to a Master Pikeman, Master Dancer... which is why I left in the first place.

Now upon my return, I see the progression to Jedi has changed. Great! So now I have to get badges - no biggie, I already had the content ones. So now I've gone and gotten my 3 Jedi POI, my 2 difficult POI, my 5 easy POI and I really only need my profession mastery badge.

I should have that already right since I'm a Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer? NOOOOOO... my profession mastery doesn't count until I clear out all the respecs handed out after SOE did the combat revamp.

So I can just /respec, /respec, /respec and continue on right? NOOOOO... SOE will only let me respec once per 12 hours and "Customer Service" tells me that I shouldONLY have to /respec twice a day for the next 2-3 weeks before I can then use my "token /respec" and finally get my profession badge.

2-3 more weeks of doing what? What happens if some day I can't make it on twice to do my /respecs... does that push me another day further out? This could take months. Months of doing what?

I just don't understand this /respec period of 2-3 weeks. I don't want it, I don't need it. I've always wanted this character to be a MP/MS and he is. Can someone at SOE just please let me move on... I'm spinning my wheels here and am already nearing pilot mastery so I don't have a whole lot else to do.

If I'm justbeing abig, selfish cotton-head ninny-muggins please explain.

Wanted to double check my character sheet before I answered your question in detail:

Here is what I have:

Content
*Jabba's Theme
Park
Nym's Theme
*Imperial Theme
Warren Compassion
Warren Hero

*Obtained before Combat Upgrade

Jedi POI
Ben Kenobi
Hutt
Jedi Temple Ruins
Hidden Temple

Difficult POI
Skeleton of Krayt
Dragon
Pit of Sarlac

Easy POI
Escape Pod
Lars Homestead
Abandoned Rebel Base
Imperial Outpost
Kimogila Skeleton
Theed Waterfall
Amidala's private beach
Kachirho, Kashyyyk
Gungan Sacred Place

Proffesion Mastery:
*None

* I'm actually a CL80 Master Pistoleer and Master Smuggler. I also have badges for Event: Project Dead Eye, Badge Collector: 5 badges and Badge Collector: 10 badges

When I do /check, I get:
"You fee a strong sense of the Force within you" -- which totally seems wrong since I've met or exceededevery requirement in the entire badge progression.

My suggestion to you: Make a ticket and see if a nice CSR will simply take away your respects. However, If you were master before you left, then you should have those badges. Soooo, yep, I'd make a CSR ticket. Hope that helps.

I've made a few customer service tickets on the issue and have failed to get anything but "I'm sorry..." and "wait." Most recently, I was told:

"I can understand your concern for the badges you are not able to get. I request you please be patient, as the respec period of your character will end up shortly. Unfortunately we are not able to remove your respec."

Seems like some monumentallybad customer service to me when I can't get credit for badges I've already earned. I'm beingforced to wait weeks on end for FS access I should already have.

This character has 450 days of logged for veteran rewards but the one reward I can't get is simple FS access.

I'm into week 3 now and I'm still not through this asinine respec period... I still can not become force-sensitive because I cannot obtain my profession badge. When the hell is this going to end?

Check when you returned, and THEN add 3 weeks,

Like this:
Return: 1st of September
Respec period ends at: 15th -or- 22th September.

So that will calc when you should be able to get master badges again..

OR, just cruise thru the planets and get a couple more badges, maybe you need a few more badges then the bare minimum, just a thought.

Well, now CSR-MarkH is telling me its four weeks from the date you login after combat revamp. Not three weeks, not two weeks... four weeks. Do any of the CSRs actually know what they are talking about.

Coincidentally, four weeks is when my subscription runs out and I'm going to let it.
