Thread: Good or bad buff idea?

I think people would be alot more at easy if the Buff times were changed up a bit.

To make there feel of less pressure for people to play a 3 hours ofreal time the buff time remaining should be 3 hours of game time.

The benifits would be:

-No worries of camped log outs if you are overt or a jedi.

-Could log out in the wilderness (still have the 3 minute rule). This would allow quicker sesions

for pve.

-Can follow proper eye health ( 1 hour playing than a 15 mintue break) AND STRETCHING

- From the Combatants perspective less money spent on buffs.

On the con side:

- Doctors will buff less. Which might lead to higher buff costs.


I am a master doctor I understand this con might be detremental to some people.

Good idea... might be hard to implement... they still couldn't display the buff timer after you crashed

Don't forget bathroom breaks & stretching often.

one suggestion would have the timer client side but that would cause some problems.

As of right now you retain your stomach filling on crash. The only thing that dissapears is the mod window.

on second thought client side is a bad idea. Only would work with a pair of similar timer files client side and server side.

i wanna here some cons of this. please.

this would make camping far worse than it already is.. right now we have combatants with their doc alts camping static spawn spots and pop in when the timer's up.. such as with Lord Nyax or the Woolermander Harrower.. it only takes a couple seconds to kill them, and then they log out..


at this rate, a 3-hour game time buff would last those campers years.. imagine a year later they relog to kill Lord Nyax using a set of buffs they got a year ago?

the buff lenght period could be re worked.

as to loging in to camp. they are sort of hit and missing if that spawn will be there cause some one else could have killed it.

Shouldn't be to hard. They already relate certain things to ingame time, such as overt status.
