Cal, I have an issue.
I tried out the new SWG TEST UI that is currently on live the other night, and have come to the forums with feedback and suggestions, per the DEVs request.
I looked and looked for a focus thread topic, but could not find one.
The "In Testing - Public" forum isn't being used anymore, and the "In Testing - DEV" doesn't allow for players to start topics (In fact none of the forums in that category allow for that anymore). So the only place left for feedback is the thread marked for Discussion of Live issues ... it is after all ... a live issue.
However posting a brief, constructive, "I like the TEST UI, but here are some odd things I saw ..." post in that thread was deleted.
I posted "Ok ... but I've got some good stuff, where do I offer this sort of feed back?" ... that post got deleted.
I waited for a while thinking I might get a PM of "Sorry, Indy but you need to post this sort thing here: clicky" (nevermind that there is no logical place for this that community members can post to anymore). No such message was sent ... feed back is simply deleted with no place to send it.
Apparently we have moved back to the old school SOE stand of "Communication is a one way street ... deal with it".
Now I'm willing to grant that these boards are flaky (afteralll I cannot get anything past page 1 of DEV search results to actually work) ... but my post was "deleted" (at nearly the same edit time as Tiggs post, so it's a safe bet what happened).
I'm willing to accept that Tiggs thought it was off topic (although I don't agree with that, I'll accept it) ... but then WHERE exactly does PLAYER (read not a DEV) post feed back for an issue which (apparently) has no focus thread!?
We aren't allowed to post to any of the testing/development forums anymore, and feed back of live issues to the live issues thread just gets deleted!
I'm trying really hard to get involved and excited about this game again and you all are making it very difficult. I thought we had finally all agreed communication was important and supposed to be a two way street.
Can you please:
- Point me to the appropriate place for my feedback to be ignored (but not deleted).
- Remind those with the delete button that we are now limited to putting feedback in topics they start.
- Suggest MODs move instead of delete whenever possible.
- Encourage MODs/DEVs to send a PM explaining deletion of constructive feedback posts.

Tiggs will be starting a focus thread for the new UI settings in In Live. Apologies for not getting that created sooner.
