I have been in this game a long time and for the most part have enjoyed it quite a bit. Grinding was not my favorite but the opportunity to finally solo things was fun (except for the loss of solo group payouts and having to sell off my vet rewards to earn cash). I have been on TC and tried some of the new things (very few as I refuse to grind in order to level there) and some of it was quite positive. Some of the things were not so good.
As a Masterswordsman I can see some of the things that are happening as positive. As a crafter, I am a little concerned. However, I will reserve my final judgement (and associated consequences) until the CU comes out and I have a chance to play the "finalized" version.
Being in a customer service field, all of the complaining that is going on is not going to get anything accomplished other than whipping yourself and others into a frenzy. Complaints, threats, etc.... are going to do absolutly nothing. If you really want to get someones attention, the do nothing and encourage everyone you know to do the same. I am not talking about just playing like nothing is wrong, I mean a complete and total cessation of all activity on these boards, no positive or negative posts, no feedback, nothing. Silence is very loud and with all the posts that have been made on the topic of the CU, sudden silence will get noticed.
We all have choices in respect to this game, and we must each do as we feel is right. I choose to reserve judgement until May 5th and see what has changed. If I don't like it, I leave, if I do, I stay. I know that many of you will disagree with me and I respect that. This is just an observation based on my own personal and professional experiences. Yes, I wish there was more specific communication regarding our concerns, but we can not know what goes on at SOE. I have nothing against the devs or anyone at SOE, they have decisions to make based on their business needs. In turn, those decisions have consequences for us as consumers. On May 5th, we will know what those consequences are. Until then, I suggest patience.
Thank you
