This is a suggestion to those that wish to express displeasure with the state of the game and up coming changes.
I would advise avoiding the following; personal attacks/demeaning those that disagree with you, emotive irrational language use, and flawed overblown analogies attempting to make a point. I would suggest not posting when you are angry/ out of control.
Express your concerns clearly, accurately, and without the destructive additions I have outlined. I would suggest this course of action if you truly want to be heard and possibly make a difference for a game you enjoy.
I am posting this because I find it unfortunate that many folks with legitimate concerns may never be properly heard because they are undermining their own effortswith many of the things I have covered.
Some simply cancel accounts. That can be effective too if it is not coupled with a posted tirade. I wouldtry rational discourse and give it a chance to work first. In the end if you find all the changes unacceptable and the corporation unresponsive/uncaring after all you haveattempted then you might leave the game. Much of this comes down to personal choice. I can tell you though, again, the overblown tirades are doing little for your cause.
I am posting this with best of intentions. In short, be constructive and professional as possible.

It's what some of us have said before. Use "Idon't likethis because... and it should be..." and not just "I hate this!"

Unfortunately, I forsee two things. Either this post get hardly any replies and it disappears down thepages or people will come here and show just how calmly and constructive they can post.

There was a calm contructive post made yesterday.
It was deleted and the paying customer was banned from forums and game.
Others then reposted it on various forums and those too were deleted and presumably users banned as well.
I've spent over 20 years working jobs that, in whole ore in part, depended on my abilities for customer/public service. The way the mods have been treating large numbers of paying customers in these forums would have got me instantly fired from any of those jobs. Given the loss of revenue that has been a direct result of these attacks on the customers, possibly even sued by the employer.
The regular game client has been too unstable since patch 14 for me to even think about putting myself through the additional hassle of test center. I have no opinion on the CU. After yesterday's antics I sure have an opinion of SOE though. I used to have a low opinion of the less constructive posters about the CU but no longer. I now understand what they must have already known. A polite, thoughtful, constructive post will earn a delete and ban so the negative posters figure they may as well express how they really feel rather than sugar coat it. If SOE staff aren't going to have a modicum of respect for the people that put food on their table why should those paying for this "service" hold our tounge's while addressing them?
For me, knowing that doing so helps me keep the high-ground and be a better human being than so many at SOE come across as. Now, though, I understand the frustration and anger, rage even, that leads others to stoop to SOE's level.
In short, the mods created a customer service disaster yesterday. Apologies to the people with the money are in order.

Good advice, but you STILL will be banned even if you follow all your guidelines. As I can prove.
I hope the letter writing to LA puts the brakes on that. I mailed mine today. MAIL, not email. Putting it in writing and mailing it will always have more impact.

This behavior is precisely why direct communication with LA is needed right now. Sony has created a PR nightmare here, of their own making. Seldom does a business ever win an argument with their client, particularly one like this where repeat business (ie: paying our subs) is vital.
There are some moderators on this board/SOE developers that need to be, as we say in Kentucky, "taken out to the woodshed".
If Sony communicated with us more frequently, more interactively, and would respond to feedback with ACTION rather than spin (see John Smedley and Rogue_5) things would not get so out of control that people felt they had to start flame wars here.
Also, the banning of forum access, the deleting of critical posts for no reason other than they are critical, is self defeating. Sony is MAGNIFYING the bad feelings.
I for one would regain a lot of my lost trust and respect in the Dev team if they'd just come out and say, "We're sorry you don't seem to like this CU, we will do our best to address your concerns as soon as we can, we have erred in not letting you players be a part of the design process until it was too late in the game".
What this game needs more than anything right now is a CUSTOMER RELATIONS REVAMP...
