I hope this is the right place for this.
Who do I contact if there is no correspondant for a forum / profession / group of players? And how do I go about doing so, so that I don't get smacked down for being an annoying little Chii?

Okay. Maybe there is some confusion due to lack of clarity. Let me 'splain.
There is, or is supposed to be at least, a Corr for every profession in the game. There is also a Corr for the GCW, which isn't exactly a profession, but represents a group of people.
There's recently been raised some concern that there is absolutely no representation for another group of people, primarily because they tend to not be as vocal and don't require quite as much stuff -done- for them.
I'm talking about our roleplayers. The people that make up the RP part of the game. These guys are completely and utterly without a voice when it comes to whether the devs hear them. There's not a whole lot they really ask for, so it isn't as if they once had a Corr and they just couldn't find anyone to take the place when one retired. They've simply not been considered.
A lot of y'all might find this completely preposterous, and totally useless, that a bunch of roleplayers want to make their voices heard. Hey, that's fine. I, however, would like to know why we've been relegated to the bottom of the food chain and left to fend for ourselves with nobody of any recognizable authority who even sticks their heads into the forums to see how we're doing.
I want to know who I can contact to talk about this. I had hoped this would be a good place to find out, as it -is- related to the forums, i.e. the community and the website. Would anyone maybe have any suggestions on this, now that I've clarified the situation a bit?

Told you I would.

Anyhow...just to add to what's already been said. The roleplay community comes up with a lot of good ideas to improve the game, and make it more immersive for the Roleplayers, and everyone else. However, we find it a little concerning that, in this MMORPG, there is no Roleplay Correspondant. Our ideas aren't really getting heard.
Its bad enough that the Roleplay forum is the very last (Game-related) one on the front page. Its shoved down with the "nothing to do with SWG" forums. As appropriate as "Roleplay has nothing to do with SWG" sounds, this game is supposed to be an RPG. The Roleplay forum should be up near the top...up with the GCW forum. Roleplaying, and player-made content is just as important to this game as the dev-created content. We should have at least as much of a voice as the PvPers.
We just want you to hear our ideas...some of which are pretty simple, but would make the game incredibly more immersive, and would improve the RP no end. Some people come up with some really great ideas, but we have no one to pass them on. Give us a voice.

And the interesting thing is, we don't ask for a lot that requires -effort-, either.
Except, maybe, an answer to a post now and then.

Trust me on this:
Many correspondents are RP's and do take into consideration RP issues when theyrepresent community issues to the devs.
current RP issues for Rifleman
- wookiee bowcasters (solved - er well mostly)
- E11 rifle is iconic but way to underpowered for anyone to consider using outside of rp purposes - move it up the trees for better immersion (unresolved)
etc....
If you do have a specific issue feel free to talk to a Correspondent and we can pass it on for you.

Thank you for your response, but I'm not looking to resolve a specific in-game issue. I'm looking to resolve a specific game-wide, forum-based issue. As in, getting a correspondent in place that issues can be raised to.
Do you see my problem? I am not going to pester each and every correspondent in-game when there is an issue that relates to roleplay and covers several professions. We, the roleplayers, need a single, coherent person to be our voice. Just as the riflemen, droid engineers, pilots, PvPers, and everyone else has.
I've been given some suggestions on what to do by some of the Corre's and blue glowies that post in the entertainer-related forums. I hope they work out.

Actually there is a "starwarzyness" correspondent that your concern would fall under, and that would be Kstarfire.
