Computer Gaming World Mag forums has a few threads going too. There were others, the word is out. The game is going down if this revamp continues.

I think the vote on the PC Gamer site has like a 20:1 ratio poll against the revamp...

===================SIG================
Management change and credibility is expected & deserved, and really a requirement for me to desire to log in and not have my MMORPG time completely wasted. SWG's mismanagement, ongoing, lacks credibility. I have no desire to log into my toon, attempt to accomplish something, only to find out that my blue zebra, 12th level, with 20 badges, isn't going to be turned into tomorrow's 4th tier yellow monkey, and all the zebra's stuff is no longer of value. Without credibility, its just a duck hunt game that doesn't even keep score of how many shots land on a duck.

It comes as no surprise to see all the posts about balance and mobs and NPC issues, weapons and armor, and meds and stats, and jedi and enhancements, and groups, and content like DWB, vette, elders, krayts, etc.

We predicted this in March when this game revamp was sprung on us. Its a whole new game and SOE is trying to sign up the players for an all new 2 year cycle of beta testing the new game, balancing and bugs. What did we expect? It's a new game!

Bah to SOE. This ship is sinking. Hit the first iceberg when the hologrind mess started in 2004. The media is picking up all the letters and emails, expect the industry focus on the SWG mess to start hitting the printstands. It's already hitting their websites. SOE can breathe their final breaths.

Not sure why, but the PC Gamer moderator deleted about a dozen threads ranting on SWG before they created the sticky one. At least they recognized the issue and gave it a sticky, but not sure why they deleted the others, proly thought they were cleaning up their forums, but one of them had a Poll going and it was running 20:1 against the game revamp.

Get on board and take em down. In the mmorpg site, 82% prefer the classic game, and the letters are flooding in, so much so that they got an interview with a LucasArts dingbat who is trying to do some spin control. Clearly this person and SOE are in bed on this, holding sweaty hands, and losing sleep. That's interesting. It will still be up to LucasArts management when enough is enough, and when its time to respond

Hmmm. This is interesting. According to bruce woodcock SWG as of march had a population of 254000 people. Im estimating at least an 19% drop in subscriptions. Though what I have seen online and the actions of SOE seem to suggest that the number is higher. But at a 19% drop that places the number of subscriptions at around 205,000. Not bad for a weeks work.

The 19% number used is the number of signatures on the petition to get the CU rolled back multiplied by 3 (one main and two alts). That number is rather fuzzy as not all that signed the petition actually quit/have multiple accounts. And not all that quit signed the petition. The number of subscribers, however, has more credibility.

In a nutshell. Use your own judgement.

Oh, and they are losing lot's of sleep. For Smedley to even weigh in on this is a great indicator that they are, shall we say it? Sensing a disturbance....

Has anybody noticed that "Smed" has exactly 1 post? He's waking up, and instead of smelling coffee I think he has noticed the proverbial poo hitting the fan. Good!

I logged on to Ghosttown Wars tonight to give away some stuff, knowing full well if there is a revert to old system in the cards I can just earn it all back anyhow. Ahazi was so pathetic. I would say it was at least 2/3 empty, maybe even 3/4. For crying out loud, it took me 10 minutes to give away a One Handed Damage 7 Armor Attachment. Yikes.

And that LucasArts guy was worse than anybody else here. They are either behind the change or utterly clueless. Neither of which gives me any hope the will effect any change.
