EXACTLY. I have already been SORELY disappointed by the CU since it has made my jedi padawan COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE. I preordered the Digital Download due to the fact that it might help with JTL, ONLY to find that the ONLY benefit to the DDL was taken away BEFORE I could cancel the order.
Now I get a mount that I cannot tame, is NOT exclusive, the SAME number of ship slots as anyone else, and NO speeder which IS exclusive.
What is the point of having done a pre-order? This pre-order decision has NO BENEFITS...
I'd strongly suggest that you add the barc to the digital download to reward those of us who showed SWG some loyalty even with the CURB fiasco. If not, you have just punished us for our loyalty.

Well, it's too late for those who pre-ordered to cancel their pre-orders.
SOE does not appear to respect its existing customers enough to think about the affect this kind of tactic has on its existing and loyal customer base -- it sure feels like bait-and-switch -- giving the extra ship storage with the "pre-order" download was a way to mollify its existing customers who objected to having to buy the expansion pack retail in order to get the fastest speeder available. They needed a good number of peopleto pre-order so they could fully test the ROTW expansion before the new customers showed up.
So people madethe choice and preordered: they needed additional ship storage more than they needed or wanted the speeder. And now, they find out they could have had BOTH.
And SOE does not appear to respect us enough to respond when asked about it.
Guess they are selling that speeder for $30, bottom line.
And I agree; if giving that extra storage space to all who bought the retail version was due to "outcry," what about the massive outcry from the existing customer base about the speeder?
You'd think I would be inured to this by now.
SoE should offer a reduced price for RotW for those who already have JTL since they are going to include it. (I canceled my preorder becauseI shouldnt have to pay twice for somthingI already have.)
Cripes, throw those of us still here a bone!
For example:
- 15.99 buys a RotW DDL only (DDL=Digital Download)
- 29.99 gets you RotW DDL and 1 month free

Let me see if I understand...you can download the expansion pack and get the extra storage or you can buy the 'Total Experience' pack when it comes down.
One - I do not want to download the expansion. I have enough problems downloading the patches. Also, what if my pc crashes and I have to reload? Let me guess...I have to redownload it. Perfect...I really want to do that. Will we even be able to do that or will I have to buy the expansion anyway in case I need to reload. That means that I would pay for the expansion twice.
Two - I don't need the 'Total Experience' package. All I need is the expansion pack. If I don't download it, I have to buy the 'Total Experience' just to get the additional ship storage space. Help me understand...I'll have to purchase items I do not need just to get the one item I do.
To sum it up...I will have to pay extra money to get additional ship storage space. It seems like current account holders were maybe overlooked again. Another great idea probably from the same person who thought of the Combat Upgrade.
Why should I have to pay to download something and still have to purchase it anyway or pay for something I don't need?

Existing account holders have been punished by the recent actions by SoE. If you bought the JTL expansion, you found that it is to be given away with RoTW. That's fine with me, but we've already paid more at this point also.
Now, very new accounts can buy the original game, plus two expansions, and also get ALL of the benefits of existing players who purchased JTL and the DDL of RoTW. The only "benefit" is a non-exclusive mount that doesn't add anything over existing pets and can't be tamed unless you can grind out CH master. We LOSE the barc....
Why? Isn't pre-ordering supposed to be rewarded? You not only expect us to repurchase the existing software for SWG and JTL, but also expect us to purchase RoTW TWICE now?

I wonder if we will EVER get an official response on this. I'm a vet, but everything that has come out lately really only benefits new players. I mean...I've been paying for this game for awhile now. I don't think SOE wants long-term vets anymore. Hell...I'm still waiting for 'I stayed after the Combat Upgrade' T-shirt.
Please start thinking about your vets along with trying to get new players. Who do you think has to teach newbies?...Lol What's the advantages of being a long-term and loyal customer? Lately....nothing.

"pre-order" feature, so this really is not an issue to be posting here.
Just wanted to clarify it... as you can see in this post
that announced the pre-ordreing it does specifically state
"Expanded Ship Storage Bonus With Purchase of Star Wars Galaxies™:
Episode III Rage of the Wookiees™ Digital Download Expansion" not just
for pre-order and this was the same message made on the ROW page we
have on our site. It did state that you could "pre-order" now in that
same message.

As far as I read the complaint: - The extra ship storage was _exclusively_ for Digital Download, no matter if pre-order or regular order. - Now it is included in the Total Experience package - along with the BARC speeder - it is _not_ exclusively for the DD anymore. Valid complaint me thinks. |

THIS is the REVISED announcement that came out JUST before the DDE went live. It previously said "Exclusive"...Do a forum search, there are still copies of that release on the fourms... |

I love how they try and cover stuff up. Nice tactics, really. It was in fact originally stated that the DD was getting the ship storage bonus as an exclusive along with that lizard thing. The day it was announced I pre-ordered based on that information. I could care less about a mount and bought the DD because I wanted the ship storage more than I wanted a BARC speeder from the retail box. I would have just friggin bought the retail box if I knew I could have gotten both things. You guys need to get your PR worked out, as you are walking close to the line of false advertising. |

Download" please feel free to pm me with that information. But as a
side note, the only way to get ROW (by itself) is via Digital Download.

Well from seeing what several people cut and pasted from Tiggs original post on this (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Announcements&message.id=553) It said before it was edited on the 27th April.
