--DELETE ME---

Somehow Lithium decided to double-post this, even though I'm confident I only clicked "submit" once.

I'm getting rather frustrated searching through the SOE forums looking for answers to my post-cu questions. I think I would really enjoy the CU and be fine with it if I didn't have to alt-tab out of SWG every 5 minutes to look up answers to all the various new systems they have in place now. I'm not even a crafter, I can't imagine how bad they have it trying to find out how all the new crafting works, where to get schematics, etc.

All in all, the searching really isn't that bad. I do think it is a trite ridiculous that I have to search the forums to figure out what kind of weapon I can use (Blast you SOE for switching all my Krayt Scatter pistols to MBH requirement, and not letting me respec them!). I really for sorry for anyone who buys this game right now and trys to play it, I imagine it would be incredibly difficult to get the hang of, especially for someone who isn't used to spending a lot of time in forums. Not to mention the manual is completely out of date and contains no useable information.I understand the Holocron is being updated, but it doesn't have near the information or ease of access that the paper manual had.

PROPOSAL:

- Give us a manual. The one that came with the game is all but useless now. It would be nice to get it for free (I think we deserve that), but I don't think that will happen. Maybe charge a S&H fee? Or ship it with RotW? Or make it available to buy at the SOE store?

- Give us something to download. A full PDF manual perhaps?

- Sell out to Prima or another maker of game guides. I would definently pay a little extra to get an UPDATED guide to the game (my original guide is only useful for finding trainers). Include quests, Jedi trials, BH/Jedi guide, templates, full maps w/ POI's and hunting areas, trainer locations, JTL info, RotW info, etc. Make the new guide part of a RotW deal (Buy both RotW and the new guide, get guide for half price or something to that effect).

I realize this is all kind of last minute for a RotW shipment, but it's worth noting. Is anything already being done with Prima or a manual? I'd be very satisfied to hear that someone is already compiling a manual/guide for the vets and new players that contains all the post-CU info we need. Whats the story devs?

Lol I just looked at the "Manual" section of the website, hoping I didn't just put my foot in my mouth. The New Player Guide is laughably out of date, and doesn't even include the GCW changes (Declared changed to Spec Forces, etc.). Maybe you can start here, devs?

Not to mention I bet the new player tutorial tells you how to use the old SWG controls when the defaults have been switched to MMORPG default which are different, so the new players are told to use controls that do not work.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

In the works as in "will ship with the total experiance box set?"

Can we get that hot chick who reads you your options when you pick a new planet?

As someone else mentioned a PDF version of the JTL and Rage manuals for download would be simple and easy and not cost them alot to do.
