- When typing a new thread and hitting submit, somehow for reasons unkown, invalid HTML tags creeped in.
- When quoting or copy and pasting other peoples threads, invalid formats are copied as well (and make it a nightmare at times).
- When typing a longer thread, it happens often that the forum logs me out in the meantime. When hitting submit or preview, the entire post is gone. It can be circumvented with copy and paste it to somewhere, something that couldget lost of sight in theheat of the battle.
- Making clickies (links) is laborious and many people do not know how to do it.
- Links get lost after editing of threads, a nightmare when you need to update link lists (needs to be done somewhere else and then copy the final text into the forums)
- There are very well working systems out there such ubb/vB tags to format threads. Links, lists and all theformatting are easy to make. They would extremelyincrease the usabilityof the forums and you would not get invalid HTML messages and so on.
What do you think?

yeah, those things are really annoying.
i would be happy already when the logout timer would be set to two hours and we had the ability to make clickies easier.
i know the board doesn´t use ubb/vb tags, but since we can format the text already it shouldn´t be too hard to add another feature to make a clicky.
about the logout, don´t come up with your server sessions again Garva, tell Lithium to learn how to code properly, since every other website like amazon, ebay and other forums have no problem with it and just use a cookie to store your login details but close the actual connection after some inactivity time.
and i would also like to see some more star warsy smilies

Quoted for Fricken Emphasis.. I can easily confirm all of those. Its a pain the butt when you have to track in your HTML (especially for someone who knows -nothing- about HTML) to try to figure out why your 5 page post isn't posting because of 'invalid HTML'.
PLEASE, look at some of the problems BMF listed... I don't understand why we can't go simple on commands, maybe let teh forums accept nice HTML sigs but allow us to post using the old fashioned , , SWG
Camon... This is the ONLY forum that doesn't let you post like that.

If you change your profile to turn off the WYSIWYG editor by default, it will start your posts in "Edit as HTML" mode. This means when editing them, it keeps all links. I am on Firefox and have issues with the Graphical Editor, so it is great for me in general, and especially for quoting or editing clickies.
