Thread: I must write and say that this is the best MMORPG out now since the new Combat Upgrade.
Some of my favorite points of this upgrade:
-Special Forces, Combatant, Civilian
-I can be a combatant and use my faction pets without having to fight real players.
-respec allowed me to redo my skill point in any profession, so if I was stuck being a doctor before, you can now change to anything
-more missions than I can count
-tons of new cloths, armor, weapons, items, rewards, etc.
-I got both expansions for $24 and did not even need to go to the store, it was a digital download with a free bonus mount
-veteran rewards
-missions are actually challenging now, in the old system you could buff and no mission was a challenge
-people group frequently to do missions which means more player interaction
-less time spent waiting for shuttles
-burst run lasts longer
-with the JTL expansion, you can take a ship almost anywhere and not need to worry about paying ticket fees
-there is so much more, but this is all that I can think of at the moment
-new characters, new species

I just came back to the game after several months of being gone.
Do you have JTL and the Wookie expansions? Maybe that is why I am seeing this stuff?!?
Personally I think they pushed this ball of poodoo out waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too fast. Another thing is if they had to make such sweeping changes to the core system then this game isn't going to go much further.

I have been seeing swarms of people coming back to SWG because of this Combat Upgrade. I would love to see these swarms you are seeing. So far I have seen a massive exodus of veterans and a massive influx of noobs to fill the void. And from my perspective that void has a long way to go till its been filled. But hey that is just my observation.
Some of my favorite points of this upgrade:
-Special Forces, Combatant, Civilian You have been gone a while. That was implemented long before the CU.
-I can be a combatant and use my faction pets without having to fight real players. That was a mistake in the first place. i hope they get around to nerfing it.
-respec allowed me to redo my skill point in any profession, so if I was stuck being a doctor before, you can now change to anything I am really hoping that this post was necro'd. I really am. If that was your token respec then sorry. You gotta grind out anything further the old fasioned way.
-more missions than I can count. Might agree with you there. But the new level based system kinda puts a damper on that for me. There are some things that are soloable I guess.
-tons of new cloths, armor, weapons, items, rewards, etc. Far as I know clothes (yes Forest, spelled with an E) and armor havent changed much. Weapons, a couple. Good number of items and rewards. But I fail to see the need to group for personal gain. There is a difference between a personal quest and the common good. Alot of the items (like all of them) fall under the personal gain category.
-I got both expansions for $24 and did not even need to go to the store, it was a digital download with a free bonus mount And you go to the store and get a BARC. Big trade-off.
-veteran rewards Again. Your attributing something that was implemented before the CU. Here is a clue. Looks like you lost yours.
-missions are actually challenging now, in the old system you could buff and no mission was a challenge Difference bettween challenging and "epic". The devs need to learn this. Im tired of fighting "epic" battles every time I draw a "solo" mission.
-people group frequently to do missions which means more player interaction True. Yet the player interaction was always there. Admittedly on a smaller scale. Unfortunately you have to be in a group to do anything worthwhile these days.
-less time spent waiting for shuttles Implemented before the CU. Yet another clue watson.
-burst run lasts longer ????....Really. Looks about the same to me.
-with the JTL expansion, you can take a ship almost anywhere and not need to worry about paying ticket fees Then worrying about shuttles.....Oh thats right....You no player city starports yet.
-there is so much more, but this is all that I can think of at the moment
-new characters, new species

I was in JTL and CU beta and bought each the first day they were out. When JTL came out 7 months ago, about a dozen new wearables were put in the game. With RotW, there is one new set of quest armor that I have seen, and the new faction armors. What stuff are you referring to?
